Mississippi is Elvis Presley's birthplace. One of his favorite sandwiches was peanut butter and banana.
Oprah Winfrey, Jim Henson (Muppet creator) and Faith Hill were all born in Mississippi as well. It is also the home of Barq's root beer, Pine-Sol, and Dr. Tichenor's Antiseptic. Catfish is produced in Mississippi ponds. Cotton is also produced in Mississippi.

In WY we do eat a lot of meat, beef jerky is popular but many make their own from wild meat, deer or antelope. Huckleberries grow wild up by Jackson Hole and the Tetons. There is a lot of fishing that is done so fish would be a good choice. Pancakes, bacon are popular especially popular camping also baked beans. The only other thing is the town of Chugwater is famous for chili and Casper has a huge chili cookoff that is very popular. Hope that helps.
