This probably won't help alot for ways to celebrate. But when my grandparents were having their 50th Anniversary about 20 years ago. The four kids got together and bought them a golf cart for getting around on the farm. They had it painted gold with a gold roof and attached a gold bow to it. They also did not want a party so this was a good substitute for them.
