Hi everyone!

I'll be heading to WDW with my girlfriend:love: in about a month. I've been trying to come up with some cute little things that I can plan in advance to make our stay more enjoyable and memorable since it's the first time for both of us and we may not be able to come back again anytime soon since we live pretty far away.

anyways, my girlfriend reads the DIS Boards sometimes too, so to be safe I have to keep information slim, and I even created this backup username so she won't know it's me if she does happen to stumble upon this post :cool2: But we are staying at a WDW resort in January.

I'm trying to find some things that I can maybe have delivered to the room one day while we're gone, or perhaps some ideas on some nice romantic places I could take her. I know it might be a little late to make PS reservations for some restaurants, but I'm counting on the fact that we're going in a slow season that there might still be some ressie times open.

I stumbled upon something called Creations by Sarah (or something similar, forgive me if the name is wrong), where she creates little gift baskets and has them delivered. These are the kinds of things I'm looking for, or romantic places to go or other unique gifts I could purchase ahead of time.

As far as budget goes, we've already spent a fortune on this trip, so I'm trying to keep it fairly cheap. Just cute little things or ideas to do so we can remember the trip as more unique.

I'm usually pretty good at planning ahead for things like this, but again I've never been to WDW so I'm not sure what kinds of things are available.

So, heeeeeeeeeeeeeelp me DIS Boarders! Oh and happy holidays :santa:

K I have one for you, This happened to me several years ago but I saved a pic cause I thought it was sweet, although we are no longer together but whole different story, lol.... anyhow This was waiting for me after we returned from the park and I hopped in the shower I opened the door and this was on the bed, now that I look back it's sort of a fire hazard but it was cute and it was only tea lights and small paper plates or paper bowls. It was only lit for about 10 minutes.

You could go to the dollar store and pick up little things that are Disney related (or just things you think she'd like). You could probably make up your own basket and ask the front desk to have it delivered later in the day so it's a surprise. I used to work at a resort in Maine and we often arranged for surprises to be delivered for our guests. You could also buy some little gifts for her while there-Mickey earrings, or a charm bracelet and some charms, and give them to her at a nice meal.

Try to going to passporter they had afew hints on making a trip memorable, like finding a new scent for your room. I love littel things a basket with cute stuff would be fun, silly stuff like pens that light up shell use them back at home and think of you! Have a great trip!:goodvibes

I have another idea. I'm actually using this one for my upcoming trip so hopefully my friend didn't stumble upon this site. We both like wine and I'm not sure if it hard to find a bottle of wine on the disney property so I plan on bringing 2 of the smaller type bottles, I like white, he likes red, lol. At 1st I was going to have it shipped from wines.com but couldn't find the smaller bottle then someone at work had the idea of getting the small bottles, I plan on getting them at the commissary (military store) and those plastic wine glasses that come apart for easy packaging found at the party store. I plan on packing this in a seperate bag with some food items and checking it in, well packaged of course. I was going to go to shades of green and buy it there but I'm afraid by the time we get on a disney bus to the transportation center, wait for a shades of green bus then back again we would have wasted 2 hrs getting a bottle of wine.

here are some other small gift ideas
- a card, poem or picture you drew
- a photo frame, key chain so you can put your pic in from disney
- disney beanie baby or other small stuff animal (hint spray a little cologne on it, this way she will be able to take it home with your scent)
- Little box of hershey kisses and hugs, you can write something like "wanted to send you home with some hugs and kisses"
- Bring chalk and write on the walk way or in front of your door "your name + her name" in a heart. Take a picture of it afterwards - Cheap but super cute
- Another stuff animal idea (this is normally used on the ceiling but since it's a hotel and you really can't do this in a hotel) buy those glow in the dark stars(the sticker kind not the plastic ones with the putty) and form "I (a heart shape) U" on the belly of the stuffed animal and put it near a lamp when the lights go out she will be able to see it glow = 2 gifts in 1, lol.
I should write a book, lol
- Buy those little travel lotions, Bath and body shop has them on clearance for like $2 (I was there last night, lol) - They also have ones for your feet to making them feel better after all that walking in the parks.

I guess that's all I have for now, that was fun. Hope you guys have a fantastic trip.

The candles were the sweetest, abeit most flammable romantic gift I have seen in a long time. How about the old standby of flowers or chocolates on her pillow. The front desk should be able to help with finding this stuff. Body lotions are easy to travel with so you could pack them in your suitcase. Have a great trip!
