Looking forward to our trip in October w/ brother and his family that will have 4 girls (and one newborn when we go!).
Hubby and I are planning on giving my brother and his wife a few nights alone so we are looking for some ideas on what to do with the children while we have them. The ages are 10, 5, 4, and 3. And the newborn, of course. Hubby and I don't have children, so we are just looking for some suggestions. I know we can take them to the parks, but want some other options also, if you have any to share.

Thanks so much!

how about taking them to downtown disney..if your staying on the property its easy to get to..they have lots of stores to browse thru, leggo is fun..they also have rainforest cafe which they would love,,,across from that is a great candy shop with all sorts of mickey candy..or you can just take them to jhiradellis ice cream shop and just wander around the plaza. have fun!

What about the movie under the stars at Ft. Wilderness. They are the perfect age to enjoy that. They sell smores kits for $5; otherwise it is free. :goodvibes

What a great idea! I had forgotten all about the campfire movies.
My husband suggested Downtown Disney too. And we will be staying at Saratoga Springs, so it will be real easy to get there. I think we'll stay awayf from the candy shop though. I think we will just barely be able to keep up with them without all the extra sugar! :mickeyjum The boat trip over will probably be an adventure for them.

thanks!:thanks:

The main pool at SSR is really nice and great for kids...it has zero depth entry, a big and little slide, squirty fountains and a splashground as well. I particularly like this pool as it is compact so you can keep an eye on your crew while also enjoying the pool! You can borrow swim vests for the length of your stay and there are at least 3 lifeguards as well. I know my kids love, love, love swim time!! Also, they often have pool side games. There is also a place to rent bikes (including surrey bikes, which could be a lot of fun!) if you are feeling athletic! The playgrounds are also nice!

You could also consider the Boardwalk area -- there are some midway-type games and food as well as the Bakery and sweet shop as well as awesome street performers (magic acts and piano bicycle). They have also been showing movies at the Beach Club on the beach. You could even ride around the lake in the boats if you wanted, or rent a surrey bike to ride around or check out the arcade at ESPN Club. You could even do this while their parents had a romantic meal alone at the Boardwalk or Epcot and meet back up for Illuminations/Fantasmic/or the bus ride back to your resort, because traveling w/5 kids and all their gear can be tricky.
