Ideas for getting engaged at WDW

My girlfriend and I are travelling to the world Dec 6-14, and I am thinking seriously about proposing to her while we're there. DW has special meaning for both of us and I think it would be the perfect place in which to do this.

Can anybody help me with ideas on fun or romantic ways to propose at Disney? I'm sure some of you out there got engaged at Disney and have some interesting stories to share. Thanks!!

rent the yacht thing for bay lake and while watchin the fireworks propose to her then. or get a waterside seat at epcot and propose to her during those fireworks. i think doin them at fireworks would be crazy

We got engaged during divequest. I got my now wife certified to dive just for this purpose. And I set it up ahead of time and everyone knew what was going on. And they placed it in the water for me at a predetermend place while we where in the tank. And I took a chalk board used for writting under water. I pointed something out and swam over got down on my knee in the tank and then put it on her finger and wrote it out.

When we were in MK back in October 2001 we saw a man propose to his girlfriend in front of Walt and Mickey's statue looking at the castle. This was after park closing when most people had left (we had held back waiting for the rush at the resort buses to die down ).
It was very romantic with the castle lit up in the background. He even got down on one knee

I think the wishing fountain near the castle is the most romantic spot.

Okay, I'm going to be a wiseguy here... please don't take me seriously or your GF will kill you but for some reason I had this image of being on RnRC and getting asked just as the green light goes off!

My official vote is for something somehow during or after Wishes.

If you are going in December, my vote would be to get tickets to MVMCP and propose there. Ok, so I may be a little biased, because that is when my soon to be DH proposed to me. I will say that it was the perfect evening. When we walked into the MK, it was snowing on main street, the castle was lit up with snow flakes, and everything was decorated so beautifully. He popped the question in the rose garden next to the castle, so it was still a little out of the way from the crowds. We were able to spend the night celebrating over hot chocolate and cookies, and I still say that was the most magical showing of the wishes fireworks to be standing there with my new fiance'. My Dh did ask me while we were plunging down Splash Mnt. Splash Mnt is my favorite ride at WDW. And every time we went to WDW I would stand out on the bridge watching them drop and ask my DH (boyfriend at the time) when are we going to take the "plunge?". I was kind of a ritual joke. Well finally one trip he asked me as we made the 5 story drop! Thank goodness he didn't drop the ring!!! We have been married now for almost 8 years and every time we take the "plunge" together we look at eachother and smile (sometimes give a little kiss) just enough "lovey dovey" stuff to annoy our friends and family!!!!
