Ideas for food for the room Plllllease?

I sometimes cook scrambled eggs in the micro as well, but I mix a little cottage cheese in with the egg. It's makes the eggs cheesey and not too dry. The microwave can dry out eggs so the cottage cheese really helps. You can do this on the stove top as well. I'm pretty picky and I think it's really tasty!

just did my shopping for the trip, i bought easy mac n cheese, chef boyardee, cup of noodles, and sandwich makings.

Cottage cheese, huh? I'm not a picky eater but my kids are..if I hide it they won't know right?LOL That's a cool idea

Ohh easy mac for the kids! Awesome :D

We stopped at a food4less store tonight. OMG  Food is soooo cheap here! We bought frozen pizzas for $.78, lunchables for $1 and a big bag of napkins for $.98. Those things would cost 2x-3x where we live! Anyways... thats a couple of things we are eating in the room.

That's good to know. That's even cheaper than HERE

I tried that mock danish tonight, SO DELICIOUS!

It's also really good if you put a teaspoon full of whatever jam you like on it (to be strictly low carb it s/b sugar-free, but whatever :thumbsup2 ). They are strangely good for sure.

Mmmm, that mock danish sounds good!!!

Thanks for the receipe!

I don't have any tips Emmers, I just wanted to say the egg cream cheesey thing sounds yum-o!

I love all these ideas. We will be going next month and taking food to eat in our room and I have found some new ideas. I have done the Costco muffins before, just becareful with the blueberry ones. I am going to try the egg danish, thanks for the recipe.

Just be careful when cooking eggs in the microwave. DO NOT LEAVE IT IN THE SHELL (for "hardboiled"). THEY WILL EXPLODE. :scared1: Now it is really fun to watch this happen when you have only adults around and are not in a hotel :rolleyes1 but would not be good for your vacation!

I've seen on TV putting Peeps (the marshmallow candy) in the mirco, they get really big, I want to do it!

We were moving out my DH's best friend from an old house and they had an extra microwave. So the boys decided to see what they could make go boom in the backyard with a really long extension cord.

Anyhow, back to the subject at hand. We purchased the "bagelful" things from Costco and they are great for on the run. We will be bringing those for a quick breakfast item in December

I hear there's a ton of pizza places around Disneyland that do delivery ;-) I'm gonna bring the usual sandwich stuff, chips, fruit. I'll bring our small foreman grill and premade goumet frozen beef patties. We'll probably bring small pizzas my husband makes for the boy to microwave-(easy to pack with wax paper between them). I'm sure we'll make a trip to the store- probably Albertsons because I'll get my employee discount. I'm a tostito/riceworks sweet chilli chip addict so I'll have those with probably guacamole, hummus (I love the Sabra roasted red pepper) spinache dip, krab (yep with a k) spread, that sort of thing. Think I'll bring along a bottle of wine for evening relaxation lol. We also will go to the Hometown buffet once at least, and husband and I will do Mcormack and Schmick's if they have a happy hour menu. If inlaws decide to go during our trip, we'll probably eat at Mimi's I think, that's where they like to eat. I hope it's not Millie's even though I've heard good things about it- I have heard Mimi's is better. Yogurt sounds good for breakfast to me. Maybe a banana on the way lol.

A quick and filling breakfast, or snack, for all of you cottage cheese lovers is a cup of cottage cheese mixed with any flavor yogurt. It's so yummy, imho, and it's full of protein so it's not heavy and won't slow you down. This is a must for me if I can't have my normal eggs

Also, someone mentioned pizzas and I was wondering if anyone has made english muffin pizzas using a microwave? My kids love those, mostly because they get to make them themselves, but I am not sure how they would do without an oven? :confused3 Any ideas? Thanks

everyone has great ideas!!
we usually have fruit for my daughter and some snacks at the hotel.
but if you have a micorwave, you could do frozen taquitos.
