ideas for first nite non-disney

Our next trip we are getting a rental house and was thinking of stuff to do the first nite we get there.I was thinking maybe DTD but I thought maybe doing something else outside of Disney that nite.Save Disney for our first whole day.Like maybe a dinner show not related to Disney or something else.So i figured u guys would have some ideas on what to do.. thanks

there are too many different things to list.
there is mini golf, go to outlet stores, downtown disney, there are a few dinner shows i.e. dolly partons dixie stampede, pirate dinner show, medieval times, you can also go to disney wilderness to the campfire and I believe they show movies as well.

We enjoyed going to Wonderworks last year. We got there about mid-day and didn't want to 'waste' a day in Disney so we opt to try it. I really enjoyed it and so did the rest of the family. I saw a lot of kids there and my niece who was 10 loved it. This year we are going to try Disney Quest which is in Downtown Disney. I haven't been there in 2 years but I don't think its something I could spend the entire day at, it certainly wasn't 2 years ago. I think we were there 5 hours tops. It is definitely an interesting place to visit. There are tons of things to do, I personally haven't tried any of the dinner shows, but Chef Mickey's makes a great first day meal and you don't have to use a ticket to get there
