Hi all! This is my first time asking a question, but I really need ideas from all of you knowledgable dis'ers!! My DH and I are planning on a trip to Disney Jan 1- Jan 7 and the kids do not know. We went last year for one day after Christmas (the kids first trip ever) and it was so crowded that the children were very disappointed and said they never wanted to return. So this year we thought we would go after New Years to show them that Disney Magic they have heard us talk about for so long! (Hopefully, the crowds won't be horrendous!) We want to give each of them (DD10, DS6, DD3) a present wrapped beautifully on Christmas AM with park tickets, disney dollars ($100 each), disposable cameras, and sweatshirts with their favorite characters on them. We do the "three present thing" every year from santa with toys they ask for, plus, we like to give one extra special present that we say santa felt they couldn't do without. That's where this present comes in. My question for all of you is do you know of anything else that I could put into the present for a "WOW!!!" factor? I know my oldest will know that "those are tickets to Disney world" but I'm kind of worried the other two will be disappointed with only "cards" with characters on them. Tia! for any help and ideas!!!! :earsgirl:

What about a Pal Mickey? My friend bought each of her girls one for them to open up on Christmas day and attached an invite from Mickey to visit him on xxx day. :earsboy:

Our first trip is a surprise for our dd 8th birthday. I made reservations at CRT for her b-day breakfast. I am making a Cinderella dress. I am having a friend, who is attending MNSSHP, get Cindy to sign an invite for our dd to "Be a Guest" at the castle for breakfast. This will accompany the dress for her birthday present before we leave. :earsgirl:

Hope this might help.

That's funny, Goofy DS! :rotfl:
Thanks foe making me laugh and lighten up about Christmas being so perfect! :flower:

No problem!
We are going for Christmas too this year. It will be our 1st Christmas at WDW but not our 1st trip. It's a surprise for the kids and I can't wait!
I just keep telling myself "slow down and enjoy it". I know it'll be BUSY but we don't need to see everything or do everything so I think we'll be fine.
We're going 12/21-12/26 so I'm hoping to have at least a day or two that we can not be packed in like sardines!

Well, last year when we went for just that one day it was December 27th and I thought to my soul we would never make it out of the park in one piece! One of the CM's told us that at 2:00pm that day they had already let in 87,000 people (at MK)!!!! I knew it was going to be crowded, but I had not anticipated my children's reactions to so many people being around them. Needless to say, if it's that crowded this year during our trip they are never going to forgive Santa! :guilty:
Good luck and have fun!
