Hello!
I'm looking for any ideas, suggestions, or what you may have done for favors as well as gifts for the Bridal Party at Disney? As well as, if anyone did welcome bags and what they included.
I saw one photo of a bride who gave everyone Mickey Mouse ears and did a family photo (adorable). My fiance and I would really like to give everyone something special for coming to Disney to share in our magical day.
Thank you so much!!!

Hi fellow Philly Bride!

We are looking to give everyone monogrammed Mickey/Minnie ears (there will be 15 guests so we want some group photos as well), picture frames for the parents, jewelry for my two MOHs and flasks for the BM. When we get back to town, we might get a picture frame and send it with their thank you card.

I'm sure we'll do some kind of welcome package, little disney knicknacks, but since we're not looking to get married until next December, we have a little time.

Luckily for us, there is a great Disney outlet in Lancaster, PA. Both of our families are planning to meet up in the Spring so I'm going to try and get some ideas then!

To funny we are both from Philly!
Congratulations on your engagement!!!
Thank you so much for the tip on the Disney Store in Lancaster for I never even knew that (and I've lived here a LONG time)!

I am still on the fence about welcome bags. Since most of the guests have only been to Disney once before I do want to get them guide books but feel they need them ahead of time. I may send the guide books with the save the date cards. Not sure how to do it and be creative. I would also like to send them info on garden grocer, pizza delivery etc.

I really like the mouse ears. We are thinking of having the caricture artist at our reception (not sure I spelled that right).

Thank you so much!!!

I am already working on our welcome bags and we are not having our ceremony until 2011! Still I am a planner.

You can find a list of some of the stuff I want to include on this link and I have already started looking for the goodies for my bags you can see some here.

ChocoKat - Those welcome bags look great! Way to get things started early!
I am looking for unique and fun ideas for my guests as well. I have until Oct., but I would like to get the ideas going now so that I can get started on them as soon as I can.

My daughter did darling t-shirts for everyone as favors. We had them rolled and labeled with table assignments at the reception. Several folks wore them to the dessert party that night. They had the castle, with fireworks in the background, and said Happily Ever After, with the bride and grooms name and date underneath. I know Randy Chapman has photos of the rolled up shirts on his website, not sure if he posted the pics of people wearing them at the dessert party. Anyway, they were really reasonable, like $5 each, and we still see guests wearing them around. DD thought they were much more practical than chocolate, luggage tags, etc. If you want to check the photos, go to chapmanphotography.com, choose my photos in the menu and search for Tricia and Jesse 10/22/09.

Thanks! And I understand, the great thing of starting early is catching all the sales as the seasons go over.

One beautiful wedding a co-worker attended last year gave away these beautiful and very yummy caramel apples as the favors. It was an October wedding and they were wrapped with fall colors, so cute!

Most of the weddings I have been to have given out the personalized m&m's or the traditional wedding almonds.

I saw a PJ here where a bride gave her guests Mickey rice krispie treats that she personalized with a sticker. I love those so I am thinking about maybe doing that.

I thought of the cute classic Mickey beanies like lurkyloo did, she got some beautiful group shots with those, but I think that isn't on the budget with the number of guests I have.

I had thought of doing rice krispie treats too! I plan to purchase a cookie cutter shaped like Mickey's head to cut them out. I think everyone will enjoy these! Who doesn't love a rice krispie treat!?! :woohoo:

For our bridal party we did personalized Mickey watches from the disheyshopping website. Small faced ones for the girls with Mickey, a red watch band (our wedding colors) and their name and large faced ones with Mickey and black band for the guys.

We also did personalized duffel bags for the guys, red bags with Mickey and their name and Disney tote bags for the girls that I purchased at The Disney store on sale.

For our guests we had Lenox Mickey or Minnie ear ornaments that I personalized and put in the box pictured below. We put their name and table number on the box and used this for their table cards. We also made personalized M&M's in red, black and white and put them in the heart tins and had one placed at each tablesetting.

We did welcome bags for our guests that were dropped off at their resort that they received when they checked in. In the bags we put Mickey Pens and a Mickey pad of paper, a Bear Necessaties bag with a small suntan lotion, chapstick, safetypins and band aids. We put in a folder of activities going on at Disney the week of our wedding and things like a Hidden Mickey flyer. We also got a few other things for our bridal party.

We probably went alittle overboard but we had such fun doing it and we spent a year collecting all the things we gave out.

Fantastic ideas!!!!
I did some thinking over the weekend and I thought of getting mugs from our resort, walt disney bags (though I loved the idea about duffle bags for guys and totes for the ladies), disney umbrellas (we are getting married in April after all), snacks, and autograph books.
Loved the T-Shirt idea! I just did mine on zazzle.com (a surprise for the soon to by husband).
Still working on the reception thank you gift. We are having a home reception as well and found luggage tags with a castle on them which will fit perfectly!
Thank you so much!!!

Wedding gift bags can be filled with anything from bottled water and snacks to miniature bottles of champagne and a set of plastic toasting glasses with a few fine chocolates and a scented candle.
