Ideas for afternoon energy or pick-me-up?

Lately, I've been "hitting the wall" late afternoon. What are some ideas or snacks to give me a boost of energy? Sometimes I feel like I could just fall asleep at whatever I'm doing.
 
a small handful of almonds or walnuts will usually do the trick for me :thumbsup2
 
I was having the same problem. I started taking a B Vitamin complex. Worked wonders for me!
 

I had a similar problem for a while. What fixed it for me was eating smaller lunches. Instead of a big lunch (which gave me a short term energy boost and then made me feel nappy), I eat a smaller lunch and have a piece of fruit or some almonds in the afternoon.
 
It sounds like your blood sugar is probably dropping in the afternoons. You may want to opt for a smaller lunch and eat more frequent snacks that are higher in fiber. Maybe a granola bar or nuts and fruit, etc. This seems to work for me. I find if I eat a bigger lunch, a few hours later I am more sluggish than if I eat smaller, more frequent meals.
 
Something like yogurt or almonds usually works for me. Basically, anything with protein is good. :thumbsup2
