Ideas for a Sully costume for a 3 year old?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this thread, a total novice when it comes to sewing or crafts...but I am looking to get ideas for a sully type costume for a 3 year old, and would love to know if anyone has suggestions for the fabric? I'm just generally looking for "furry blue fabric" or "blue shag fabric" but if any of you experts can offer guidance, I would be so grateful!

Aw, if only you were in inquiring about Mike Wazowski! I made a fun Mike costume last year from a pumpkin pattern.

Not so sure about Sully... the first step would definitely be visiting your fabric store and taking a look around. Unless you want to try something outside-the-box, like furry blue bath rugs. LOL!
