Ideas for a date @ WDW?

Was hoping I get could get some different opinions here.

Ive been seeing a guy for about a month now, yet we havent had our first official date, just been meeting up when we can for dinner, drinks.

So I (jokingly) threw out the idea of resort hopping at wdw. And he actually got excited. lol. So i'm now in charge of planning this day. (we live an hour away)

He's been to Disney a few times. Has always "had a good time" (and he has noo idea of my extensive knowledge when it comes to the resort. lol)

I'd like to do lunch or dinner somewhere, but not something crazy expensive. Im certain he'll insist on picking up the bill, and he's a teacher, so I dont want to break him. Id also like to end the evening with fireworks. Preferably MK's.

I have a few ideas in my head, maybe you could elaborate from there? Ive never dated a guy that wanted to do this kind of stuff. So im sort of at a loss for semi (not overkill) romantic ideas at Disney.

My only idea really - Go to AKL, then Poly, dinner at Kona, Fireworks on the beach, go to the Boardwalk for Jellyrolls.

Those are my 3 fav. resorts. My fav. resort restaurant, my fav fireworks and my fav. wdw bar.

I'm a girl in my twenties, he's 30. Just thought maybe you guys would have some different ideas I hadnt thought of. Thanks in advance! :cheer2:

My fiance and I (also in our twenties), live and hour and a half away and do the same exact thing you guys are planning to do. Why not take one of those boats out from the GF, Poly, or CR and ride around on the lagoon (if its not freezing out). Thats something we have been wanting to do for a while now and haven't gotten around to it. The Poly is our fav resort too, but we have a love for 'Ohana. Maybe take a boat ride or bus over to the WL and check out the Geyser and the awesome lobby and sit by the fireplace. Could be a nice place to relax. Maybe catch an ice cream cone at Beaches 'n Cream by the Beach Club. Hope you guys have a great time

A date at Walt Disney World WOW what a GREAT GUY:goodvibes I LOVE LOVE LOVE Ohana and the fireworks from the Poly beach, hopefully you can check out the Water parade afterwards.

Have so much fun and PLEASE let us know how it goes:love:

I say Ohana's and Wishes from the Poly beach. The carriage ride is also a great and inexpensive way to end the night... very romantic!

You could take the boat ride from DTD to POFQ for the carriage ride. Me personally... I would take the bus to a mod resort and go hop in the hot tub for a while. I know people got off the buses and had free reign at CSR. But then again... my ethics may be lagging! :rolleyes1

I got engaged (surprise!) at Victoria and Albert. Yes, it's pricey, but wonderful. Maybe keep it in the back of your mind for the future!

The Wilderness Lodge has carriage rides (this time of year sleigh rides) also. There is also a little lounge on the 4th floor with a fireplace and a loveseat. Very quiet and romantic (I know, I was there last week). I don't know about drinks up there but we had hot chocolate and cookies.

Have fun!!
