We are heading to WDW from Dec. 25th - 28th :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
and I was thinking about purchasing PAL Mickey for my 4 yr old.

I know I'll be encountering lines and crowds and was looking for ways to keep him occupied.

Plus this trip is a surprise, we're not telling him until he finishes opening his presents Xmas morning. Then we are heading to WDW (aobut 2 1/2 hours away). So, I'm also looking for ideas for gifts to have on his bed each night - maybe with a card "signed" by one of the characters.
Any ideas on the gifts or anything to make it more personalized for him????

thanks :earsgirl:

I too am planning a surprize trip my fiance is originally from England and has never been, so for Christmas I'm giving him a weekend (4 days) in February. I'm doing it on a budget, but any suggestions for "under the tree" would be appreciated.

I haven't been for about 15 years and am exited about going (just hope I can keep the secret until Christmas).

My original idea was mouse ears with his name on it along with the Park passes - I realize that won't work for 4 year old.::MickeyMo

:earsboy: WELCOME to the DIS chirsty'smom and lolozolo!:earsboy:

I'd head for the Dollar Store,Big Lots,Walmart,Target and Kmart. All these places have low cost Disney themed items.Eveything from chap stick to underwear emblazoned with your favorite Disney characters!!! I'd set a price limit on yourself though as you can easily get carried away!!! ;) LOL!

christy's mom...I'm thinking coloring books, plastic figurines, beanies maybe a backpack with a Disney character so he can carry all his loot! Pal Mickey is a WONDERFUL buddy to have...he kept Erich, my 10 year old ,company this trip as my step son,Jonathan didn't get to go with us. :(

lolozolo...how about adding a Mickey beanie with a piece of paper pinned between his hands, so he looks like he's holding it, that that says 'WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD'!?!?::MickeyMo

When we took our kids in Jan 2002, we didn't tell them until we were in the airport parking garage!! Anyhow, I had packed gift bags for them to open on the plane. I found (by luck) clear plastic Minnie and Mickey gift bags with handles ($1.00 each at Christmas tree shop). I loaded them with small plastic figurines of their favorite characters (found for under $1/each at one of those "Odd lot" stores) those tiny washcloth packets you can get at the Disney Store (get bigger when you get them wet), disposable cameras, Disney dollars, crayons, Disney coloring pages (found online), mini-magnadoodles, small notebooks, gum (to help ears on plane), and a small beanie Mickey for DS and Minnie for DD (I was lucky with Mickey... he was free with $50 purchase at Christmas time!!) It certainly helped to fill the time on the plane, and provided some keepsakes for the week. Hope this helps.....:D
