I'm not sure a snack would be enough to qualify for a lunch. Maybe use the snack for breakfast and the QS credit for lunch. Personally not a fan of the Electric Umbrella and I'd probably go to Pecos Bill or Columbia Harbour House in MK. Have you secured ADR's for the TS places? If not, you may have trouble getting CP for dinner and Tusker House at only a month out.

well what exactly does a "snack" look like, i was on wdwinfo.com and was looking at what restaurants are on the dining plan and those restaurants i picked for snack were classified as both quick service and snack, so how does that work, is there certain foods on the menu that are snack and some that are quick service??

Showing that restaurant just means they have items available that are considered snack items on the DDP. Like, an ice cream bar and the like. QS credit means you get your meal and a drink. You can also use snack credits in the resort store for a bag of pretzles and stuff like that. We used the dining plan once and used our snack credit for a croissant at Starring Rolls bakery in DHS for breakfast. We used the QS credit when we wanted a whole meal. Hope that clarifies some things somewhat!

There is a sticky @ the top of the board showing all the things you can get for a snack. Not many would qualify as filling you up for lunch. They really are snacks for the most part (it used to be that only things under $4 were available for a snack credit, not sure if that's still true or not, but the average counter service meal is more in the $8 range).

I second the advice to make those table service reservations now. Not sure when in February you are going, but President's Week is really busy and reservations for for February have already been open for 5 months. Some of your TS choices are popular and book up quickly.

First of all, if you haven't made ADR's (Advanced Dining Reservations) yet, you may find you have very little choice. Reservations open for booking 180 days (6 months) in advance and many popular, theme park restaurants book completely months in advance.
I agree, your snack credit will likely not surfice for lunch. A snack is a bag of chips, a piece of fruit or a soda etc. - not a meal at all. Many folks bring/order and eat breakfast in their room, use the QS credit for lunch and their TS credit for dinner. Snacks are thrown in as someone is hungry or thirsty
Good Luck

A snack is a single item such as a large cookie, muffin, ice cream, preztel etc. Your meal plan basically is for two meals, not three.

What we do is pack a few boxes of cereal in our luggage along with some bowls and plastic spoons. When we get to our resort we buy some milk to keep in the fridge in our room. We may also buy a box of donuts, fruit etc.

Our breakfasts are thus in the room each morning. We use the QS credit for lunch. Theres a wide variety of excellent lunches available in most of the parks.

Crystal Palace has good reviews and fun for kids. However, I find the food vastly better with a short boat or monorail ride from MK to Polynesian and eat dinner at Ohanas or Kona.

I'll add... you might want to use your quick service credits for lunch instead of breakfast. Breakfast is inexpensive... $5-6 for pancakes and sausage, etc... You could also bring some cereal with you and use snack credits for milk. We pack cereal and paper bowls, etc. in our carry on luggage.

Like another poster said, get your ADRS now if you haven't already. Some like Coral Reef are hard to get but keep trying. I'll guess that, because of the refund policy, a lot of people cancel trips at the 45 and 30 day mark before their arrival date.

I don't know much about counter service lunch and dinner... we did the deluxe DDP the last 2 trips -- found it was not much more money to upgrade, we like all the dining options, and appreciate the time to sit down and give our feet a rest.

You might also consider paying out of pocket for 1 or 2 of your least expensive table services, and use those extra table service credits for other, more expensive table service restaurants. Here's a few ideas...

Day 1 -- You could do the Tusker House buffet for lunch (same food pretty much as dinner, but less expensive). And have a TS credit to have dinner later or another day. We love Yak and Yeti restaurant in Animal Kingdom Park.

Day 2 -- In Epcot's World Showcase, I'd use the counter service there -- there are more quick service options for lunch (compared to other parks)... at least something different than the usual hot dogs, nuggets, burgers, etc. OR, pay out of pocket for lunch at Biergarten... it's a fun place, buffet, and not hard to get a reservation, and lunch is less expensive than dinner. The only difference between lunch and dinner is sourr beef at dinner. I think the Biergarten lunch is one of the least expensive table service restaurants.

Day 3 -- no suggestions.

Day 4 -- I like your choice of Crystal Palace. My DS did not like taking a break from all the rides and attractions in Magic Kingdom to sit down at a boring restaurant. But Crystal Palace is no problem! Went twice for lunch each of our last 2 trips. Always ate table service but for quick service, Columbia House gets the best reviews.

It's actually per NIGHT stay. Since you have 4 full days planned are you staying 4 or 5 nights?

Depending on yout group- me and my 2 kids usually split 2 table service meals for the three of us. The breakfast platter is huge-eggs, sausages, bacon, potatoes, waffles and a biscuit- way too much food for one but 2 of these fed the three of us very well. You can get a HALF chicken and ribs combo which will feed 2 also- that stretches out your quick service credits
