Ideal WDW Vacation?

We've done trips to WDW two years running and I think DH has had enough for a while. We probably won't go back until Star Wars land is complete. Which means the only WDW trip I'm planning is the one in my dreams!

With that in mind, what is your ideal trip? Hotel, parks, number of days, special activities, pool days, times of year, length of stay? Let's say you are four people (doesn't matter what ages) and have a budget of $3000, plus airfare.
