Ideal length of stay?

It's never enough time! But if I had to choose, 8 days would be a good length. I've done 10 before, and while it was super relaxing, I was ready to go home by day 10. I did 8 days last year and it was perfect for getting everything in, including a day at universal studios. When I went for 10 days, there was a large group of us. If it was just my husband and I, 10 days might've been better.

We come from the west coast, so 2 days are eaten up by travel. 10 days are good, more is better. We are usually already in Florida before we go up to Orlando, landing in Lauderdale first to visit family, so I can be on the road at 6:00 am and be in wdw by 9:00, getting a full first day in.

January trips are usually 7-10 days, & August trips are 12-14. And it's never enough!!

I remember when 3 days was enough with just the Magic Kingdom park open when I was a little kid!

Now with all 4 parks and my son we have had 2 trips so far. One was 5 days at the park and it felt way too short. The other was 10 days at the park and it was just too long. This next trip we are hoping for a happy medium of 7 days at the park.

We drive the 9 hours to Disney so when i say days at the park I mean full days without any driving :)

Last few trips we did 6 days not enough time at all we like 2 days per park so we are shooting for 9 or 10 days next trip hope it works out

We usually go for two weeks. I've found that second week really allows us to relax and enjoy ourselves.

Last trip was 7 nights/8 days this upcoming trip will be the same. I think it is just a tad to short, my ideal would be 8 nights I think! We are hopefully going to try 8 nights in May 2014 :)

On our previous trips, 6 nights/5 days has been our norm. I've always felt it was too short, but we could never get enough vacation time at the same time to go any longer. For our upcoming August trip, we are staying 8 nights with 8 day passes as we are arriving early enough on the first day to visit a park, which has rarely happened before. Planning for this trip has been so much easier than normal because we have so much more time.

The least amount of nights we have done is 7. Our last few trips have been 10 nights/11 days. While we find it to be very relaxing and conducive to going at our own pace, by day 9 we find that we are ready to head home. Our kids were even crying to get home this last time. So, for next year, I am toying with the idea of only doing 8 or 9 nights. :goodvibes

We've had a few two week trips and those were perfect for me. It really felt like a relaxing vacation - even though we were there over the 4th of July!! We usually had at least one day sleeping in, lounging by the pool, shopping at DTD, and a nice dinner at one of the resorts!

Most of our trips are 7-10 days though. We'll be there for 8 days in September! Can't wait!!!!

P.s - look into the YES program for disney classes for your homeschoolers. My DD did this last year and is doing it again next month.

We definitely do stuff for there school while we are there but wife don't want to go too long with getting out of the routine of homeschool at home.

In two weeks we are flying in on a Saturday night the 10th and leaving Monday morning the 19th. This gives us 8 full days there. We decided to only do 6 park days. Two days we are taking to explore Florida and give our kids some much needed breaks. I feel like if we went 8 days straight just seeing parks my kiddos would be too exhausted. One is 2 1/2 and my 12 year old has ADHD/Asperger's so things can get quite overwhelming. I think this is the perfect length of stay for us.

Our ideal stay is 5-6 days. To be honest, we can do everything we like to do in that time, sometimes twice. There's no need or desire to stay any longer than that. We have active lives, busy, interesting jobs and pets who need us at home.

This year we already made a 21 day trip, and a 28 day and 14 trip are planned for F&W and Christmas.. Two weeks is ideal for us.

We've stayed as little as 5 nights and as many as 12. Really like staying for 12!

We definitely do stuff for there school while we are there but wife don't want to go too long with getting out of the routine of homeschool at home.

Its only a 3 hour class not an entire curriculum and it involves discounted park tickets :confused3

I've done trips for 4, 5, and 11 days... The 11 day trip was definitely the best. I felt like I got the most out of my airfare cost. :thumbsup2 If I had to fly from overseas I'd probably want to stay for a month!

I'd love to go for a 2-week trip during F&W. My 5-day trip was during last year's and it was a blast.

We usually do a day at each park and one extra day to play by ear. Since we are doing the two Dark Side parks as well this time, we have 7 days.

Our last two trips were 7 days/6 nights. Our next trip will probably be 6 days/5 nights. It's just the two of us right now, and we find about a week to be good.
