I was looking at the "Post a Picture of Your Campsite" Thread - and realized two Disboard Members were camped next to each other on the 300 loop & didn't know it!!!:scared1:

Perhaps we can make Site Markers not only with the name of your family, but show your "Disboard" identity!!

Example: Mine would be "Smith" Disboard Member: des1954.

I think it would be neat to meet up with fellow FW board members! :dance3:

Just a thought!

some DISer's already use LIMEGREEN Mickeyhead's i've made a large head with foam pieces with my screen name on it when i go to WDW....thought it would go on the camper somewhere... have used it in friend's timeshare before

I've made a large lime green Mickey head to go in the window of the MH.

HA!!! I googled "Secret Lime Club" and found the "Secret Green Club" on this very board!!!

Evidently, you can go to the Home Depot paint section, look in the official Disney Paint section, and get an "Alien Green" Mickey Head paint sample....for FREE!!!

It's too late tonight - but guess where I'm going tomorrow??

People write their dis-board ID's on them, laminate them, and attach to back-backs, resort doors, pin to their shirts, buy lime-green shirts, hats, crocs, shorts...anything to identify themselves as members of the Secret Green Club!

Okay, the other thing I think I'll get at Home Depot is a small sheet of homasote & using my handy-dandy jig-saw, cut out a Mickey Head, paint it Disney's Alien Green and use it for a site marker!!!

Next trip? October 11-14, 2007, after that... November 29-December 9, 2007!!!

We will be there at the same time, I will have to go get myself some green mickey heads!

I have to ask....what is homasote? I've never heard of it before. Of course, I'm definitely not handy-dandy.

Hey, we're going to be there the same time you are! 11/27-12/12! We'll look for your lime green homasote site marker.:) Have you requested a certain loop? We've asked for either the 300 loop or the 800 loop. Hope to see you there!

Cat Camper (Oops! Camping Cat)

Homasote (I may not be spelling it correctly) is a pressed fiber board that is used to make peg-board out of. The thin, dark brown stuff.

Do you take cats camping with you? We have two that are our little camping nuts!!! :cat:

We usually take whatever site they give us, unless they say 1800 or 1900 loops (YUK)!! Hope to meet up with you! DBro is coming down from WNY area to stay with us (he's NTSammy5) and we are looking forward to a GREAT time!!!

That sounds interesting. Will it take well to the paint, do you think? And will it hold up in the weather?

We definitely take our 17 year old siamese fur baby with us! She's the reason we bought a camper in the first place. :) But our baby is getting old and is very sick now. Her kidneys failed and we are only keeping her with us by aggressive and ongoing treatments. But she is happy just to be with us and is even gaining some weight. If our luck holds, she will be with us in December at FW, as usual. <fingers crossed>

Well, now that we know about your little camping nuts, we'll know to look for that site marker in a pet loop. :goodvibes

Shhhhhh..... we never admit to having our cats anymore. They don't go outside, they don't bother anyone & none of the CM's have ever said anything, even though they hang out in the windshield so they can "people watch"!! We used to request pet loops, but was told by a former FW Manager not to bother with cats; so we don't.

I've been there with 2 cats who had kidney failure. One lived to 20, the other was 18. :sad1: It is soooooo hard! I assume you have them on Science Diet KD Prescription Food.

Currently, we are owned by 2 Burmese. One is soon to be 13, the other is 11. They are inseperable!!! They get so excited to go camping!!:hyper:

Now, to the sign.... My DH said "no" to the fiber board! He wants to find corrugated plastic & make it out of that instead - because it is weather-proof & the fiber board is not. :confused3 I looked for some at HD today, but didn't find any. Now, I guess I'll look on-line to see what I can find. I did get my alien green Disney paint samples, though!! :woohoo:

When we finally decide what to make the sign out of---and actually make it --- I'll take a picture and post it. I want to get it done for our next trip which is 9/13 to 9/16. :yay:

Hope to meet you!!

Debbie :)

Seabee and Camping Cat, we'll be there the same time as you. We're scheduled to check in on 12/8 and out on 12/13. Will stretch that time at the last minute if at all possible. We've requested loop 1600. Will have my big lime Mickey head in the window, and you can see in my sig what the MH looks like. Hope to see you there!
