Since we own DVc and will be planning lots of WDW vacations over the years my eye catches posts regarding anything about preteens, teens getting bored, too cool, etc. (Mine are still young, but I know time goes by fast!)
Well, I saw something in a summer camps section in a magazine that caught me attention yesterday-
Sea World has day camps.
What a great idea I thought! So when they kids are burned out on Disney or are too cool to hang out with you they could do the day camps at Sea World and still be with you at Disney in the evenings.
Anyway, I'm gonna keep this in mind and thought I'd pass it on. :)

They also run courses that last 4/5 days or longer. My DD did one of these a few years back and had a very enjoyable time, although she came back with a "Texan drawl" after sharing a room with two girls from Houston  .

They had 3 nights in a local hotel and 2 "sleepovers" in Seaworld, so they needed sleeping bags. One night was in the Manatee exibit and one in with the Arctic area. They also use the shark area and now the underwater viewing area for the dolphins. They learnt a lot about the back stage areas of the animals, the training and spent time in the rescue + recovery area. They also do courses that take in a couple of days at Busch Gardens and another that spends 3 or 4 nights in the keys at a research area (where they can go snorkling etc.).

There's a lot of information on http://www.seaworld.org/adventure-camps/swf/index.htm

Wow, this sounds like great fun. Can we join? LOL Guess that defeats the pupose...
I'm not sure I'd want my babies (course they'd be teenagers) spending the night away from me, though.
Day camps for us!
