Halo: Live the Game

The ULTIMATE Halo Experience!

Halo: Live the Game is my concept for a Halo ride.

Ride Summary:

Room 1: Lobby: You enter the lobby to see what looks like the bridge of the Pillar of Autumn. You are loaded onto an elevator.

Elevator: You ride the elevator up four stories.

Room 2: Pod Loading Dock: You are handed a gun (laser tag gun) and are instructed to step into the pods (like in Halo 2). You are fastened into the pods which are fastened to a vertical roller coaster track.

Room 3: Pod Coaster: The pod doors close and you are alone in complete darkness. Small lights flicker on and a voice comes over the intercom.

Voice: I hope you're ready for this. It's quite a fight down there. Good luck marine.

You hear a click as the pod dislodges from the dock and you feel the g force as you plummit five stories.

The pod doors open on a giant area covered in grass and rocks. You are on Halo.

Room 4: Halo: You are told by a marine (park employee) that is waiting for you to turn your weapon on (the laser tag gun).

A marine runs by yelling.

Marine: This place is crawling with covenant!

The marine dissappears behind a huge rock.

You hear the sound of a plasma rifle in the distance.

Marine in front of you: Let's move! Follow me!

You follow the marine into the "battlefield" which is full of animatronic covenant and a few people in elaborate covenant costumes.

Marine: Fire!

You fire your weapons at the animatronic and costumed covenant, they retreat after about four minutes of fighting. (have to have time for other groups of people to come through the attraction).

Room 5: Ghost/Warthog Chase: There are three warthogs waiting at the end of the room.

The marine hops into the driver seat and yells at you.

Marine: Come on! Get in! The pelican's waiting!

You get in the hog and are shown how to strap yourself in.

The marine drives off in the warthog. Out of nowhere a ghost (on a track with an animatronic elite in the driver's seat) comes up next to you at equal speed.

Marine: Fire that turret marine!

You fire the laser tag turret and the ghost erupts into flame (pyrotechnics).

You come up on a pelican waiting at the end of the battlefield.

Room 6: The Pelican: A marine is waiting at the pelican.

Marine: Come on! We're getting out of here!

You are strapped into the pelican and the doors close. you are in complete darkness. The wall in front of you slides up to reveal two marines sitting in the cockpit.

Marine: Alright marines! We're taking off!

The pelican shakes. You feel as if you are being lifted off of the ground. Small windows appear around you (plasma screens). You are in space. You see Halo dissappearing in the background. All of the sudden the pelican jerks. The screens change from space to the pillar of autumn's interior.

Marine: We made it marines!

The doors open on the opposite side you got in and you atep out into the Pillar of Autumn. Commander Keyes is waiting there for you.

Keyes: Good job marines. But the struggle isnt over. I'll see you soon. Now hit the showers.

A door opens in front of you. You walk through it, you are now in a hallway with two doors at the end of it. They open and you step into the elevators behind them. As you enter the elevators an alarm starts blaring and you hear over the intercom "Covenant borders!" You go down five stories. The door opens on an animatronic elite roaring. It's stomach explodes and it falls to the ground. You see Master Chief standing behind it with his SMG in the air. He looks at you and then runs through a side door. A door opens in front of you, you step through into the gift shop. The ride is over.

This is only a first draft of the ride. It will be longer and more intense as I work more on it. Thank you. Please Comment.

I mean....WOW....what a ride concept. While reading it, I envision you sitting at your pc DISing and all of a sudden "spacing" out having this idea "hit you". With some of the ideas floating around here for that space, yours certainly was very well thought out and very thoroughly described. It wasn't meant to be "offensive"...more like 'wow'.......Altho a great idea, don't know if Universal will fly with it....sounds really interesting tho :teeth:

Thanks! :cool1:

I wrote it about 5 or 6 months ago when I was bored. Then when I heard about BTTF closing I remembered it and posted it just so people could read it.

I was thinking of a Harry Potter ride. The ride would be improved Spider-Man technology. But how? The ride could open at the same time the last book comes out. The plot would be that Harry becomes the Defense against the Dark Arts teacher, and you are first years to Hogwarts. Voldemort and his followers invade, though. He traps Harry in a barrier that will drain him of air very slowly. Voldemort tells us how he and his followers come back to life. He says that his bitter emotions towards the afterlife created a gem that brought him back to life, and can bring back life to anyone he chooses. He has locked the other teachers in barriers as well, and the only way to free them and stop Voldemort from destroying the universe is to erase him from the dimension. :woohoo: We get 3-D glasses and board the cars. During the ride, some of the 3-D screens actually hook on to the car. Let's just say you have a short 3-D film and white knuckled turns at the exact same time. I know how it is pulled off, but it would take so much explaining. At the end, you do a Tower of Terror kind of drop while watching a 3-D screen, and you would erase Voldemort for all eternity. It would feature every bit of technology Spidey possesses, and technology no ride has ever done before.

I really do not know much about HALO, but it sounds interesting. You did a pretty good job, Spongemage.

Halo would be a really cool addition to Universal. I also think Disney would make a killer Kingdom Hearts ride.

I think Halo would be an awesome ride, but it sounds too much like MIB and back to back rides next to eachother probably wouldn't fit too well, though I know I'd love it personally.

Thats my only problem with it, and the other one being that many people have never played HALO or would even know what it is unless they know someone who plays it.

Then again, there is a new movie coming out and Tomb Raider got its own attraction already.

Do you mean the kind at PKD?? That's just the "theme" there.....same ride is at Dorney Park...and at Dorney it's called "Hangtime".....(which, it IS a cool ride, but not something I see Universal putting in)
