What are valid types of id at Walt Disney world
as we will only have a passport.

do you not have a drivers licence photo card?

I had the problem of photo ID at All Star Sports last Feb. I bought the DDE and although it does say you need photo ID I never had any problems until the last day when I went to use it and the cashier asked me for ID. I did tell her she was using my room card which was a visa card and if she was happy to accept that she should accept my DDE card as the names are both the same and I was quite happy to sign something. She wouldn't accept it and in the end got the manager who told me I would need to show photo ID so I didn't use it. I do find it strange that they would accept who I am for my key/visa card but not for a discount card. :confused3

I don't know what I am going to do about it for Dec as I was hoping to use it again but I am not going to carry my passport around as I could end up losing it.

Don't drive.
Had one but old addresses and no photo.

If you had a licence at old address could you not get plastic one for new address? they are only about £10 and by far best form of ID imo.

Hiya -
if you are updating your address - and just happen to be doing it from a one piece paper licence , you don't need to pay anything - DH just did this. Remember you can be fined £1000 if you have the wrong address on your driving licence!!

Very true about the fine as the address on your licence needs to be suitable for service of a summons. But as you say you can get a photocard for free if exchanging a paper licence for change of name or address.

I don't understand your last post but the one before that where you say "your wife says don't do it" is not a good reason to leave an old address on a driving licence.

UK Law says it has to be up to date - end of story.

Unless you are trying to hide from the law I cant think of any reason why you wouldn't want to update your licence and get a free photo id on the way - I wish we had that option :)

I have a photo id licence so I carry that as photo id but DH still has the old style and so we have to carry a photocopy of his passport. The only other thing we've tried in the past is to carry a photo id from work but not everywhere seems to accept that.

Am i confusing you i did drive but gave up and kept the licence.

Right ok, im with you now!

Even if you no longer drive, your licence will still be vailid for many years, so as others have already suggested, the best thing to do would be to fill out the change of address part on your paper licence, include an up-to-date photo of yourself and send it to the DVLA. They will send you back a photo style licence, this is a great form of ID as it is credit card sized and you can keep it safely inside your wallet. :thumbsup2

and as others have said it is a legal requirement to keep DVLA informed of your current address regardless of whether you still use your licence or not

It sounds like a good way to get free photo ID to me, and keeping the DVLA happy.
