I think I am going to have a HUGE problem... :headache:

I got divorced and my DL is in my maiden name which I use now, however my Credit Card is still in my married name, and useable per the credit card co. Alamo is gonna give me problems huh? :confused3

Anyone else encounter this?

TIA

If you have time have the credit card company send you a new card. BUT, this last time DH was the driver (and he doesn't own a credit card as we only have one) and the rental was on my credit card and they didn't give us any hassles. He just had to show his driver's license to verify that he was the person listed.

I had a problem last summer that was sort of like this - I had rented a car in Michigan for my sister's wedding. My license was expired (long story, but I have a home in Michigan and Hawaii and I keep a MI license. I was going to renew it while I was on that trip). So the rental company wouldn't let me take the car until my license was renewed. I changed the driver to my mom and had her come to the airport. But I still wanted to have the deposit and everything on my card. No go - they made my mom give a card for the deposit and allowed me to change it all later.

But, your case is different because it's still you - just with two ID's showing two last names. Do you have your order of divorce or your divorce certificate or whatever they give you when you are done with a divorce? Maybe having a copy of that would be a good idea. It wouldn't hurt to call Alamo beforehand to check. I can't imagine you'd be the first person with an issue like that. I hope they'd be willing to help you!

Thanks! I called Alamo, and they said its not a problem.... But I am going to bring all the name change paperwork I have :)
