What do you keep your identification, etc. in while you are on shore? I'm thinking something that may be waterproof and attached to your body? Is there something you can buy on the ship, or can I purchase it now in advance for a fraction of the cost?

You can purchase DCL one's on the ship for about $8.00, and they will hold your Drivers Licence and KTTW card. Makes for a nice souvenier. They are cheaper to purchase before the cruise at Walmart or Target stores. They just hang around your neck like a necklace. My wife also brought her fanny pack which she likes to hold a few personal things when we left the ship. Hope that helps. :earsboy:

i have a small water-proof fanny pack that i bought years ago from lands end...i wear it at the beach and when we go swimming and on water park slides.......
when we went to atlantis in nassau to swim and use the slides i carried our 4 passports, 4 KTTW cards, 2 credit cards and some cash in the fanny pack....
it's probably one of the best purchases i ever made....

yes, you can by these little waterproof containers on the ship. I use mine all the time! lightweight and works really well!

Did I read that someone brings their passsports ashore with them? Isn't the card issued at check-in enough to get back on board?

And just take your drivers license and KTTW card on shore.

Those waterproof containers come in two sizes and will fit around some waists. Not mine because I have ceased to have a waist. We always wore it around our neck until we saw one being worn aournd the waist. Fit Miss Vivian fine.

You do need some form of photo identification in addition to your KTTW card, but that only needs to be a driver's license, not your passport.

The only situation where you would need a passport is if you were at St. Maarten and you wanted to take the ferry to Anguilla for the day.

If you get one of the lanyard card holders and carry a credit card in it, place your drivers liscence between the KTTW card and your credit card. The magnetic strip on the credit card can disable your KTTW card. My DW had to have a new KTTW card made on our cruise in February.

Have Fun.
