That is FL law, not WDW requirements. If you are not from the US then you wouldn't realize we have extremely strict alcohol laws here.

Please don't ask a person to risk their job for a drink.

I would never want someone to risk their job. If they were insistent on seeing my passport, I would just simply say I don't want the drink. Nothing is going to get me to carry my passport around unless I'm headed to or from an airport
