I apologize in advance if this has already been posted but someone on the TGM board posted this site and I thought it was worth sharing. They ordered bracelets with "If I'm lost call Mom ## or (on back) Dad ##" I'm going to order some for my kids to wear on their ankles. The older ones know our cell numbers, but they might forget them if they are lost and panicked. And, I doubt that dd2 and dgd2 will leave them on their wrists. They are $1.99 each but it does cost $0.59 extra (per band) to have print on the back but I've found that "If I'm lost call ########## / ##########" will fit just fine on one side. Just don't put dashes in your phone number.

I love this idea. My kids will be 6 1/2, 5 and 22 months at the time of our trip. Are the bracelets small enough to fit without falling off?

Thanks for the great tip!

I think this is a wonderful idea!! I went and ordered 4 (kids are/will be 7, 5 1/2, almost 4 and 3 1/2...two families) for our upcoming trip. They had 2 sizes youth and adult. I would think that for the younger children if you put it around their ankle you shouldn't have a problem. This is perfect because you don't have to worry about them getting wet!! Can't wait to get them!

I ordered ours as well. The youth size was 7 inches, so like the previous poster, we may have to put the bracelets on the kids' ankles. The kids are super excited to get these...I let them pick the color.

Add us to the list. I put our cell number on the front and our DS's food allergies on the back. Great idea!

I ordered bracelets for my two (ages 5 and 2 at the time) for our trip this past November. They were the silicone bracelets and I had the Disney font. I put their first name and my and my older dd's cell phone numbers. They knew to show it to the first adult they saw if they got lost. Luckily they were not needed but they did wear them the entire 9 days we were there.

Where did you get them with Disney font?

Love the idea about allergies!!!

The more I read about them, the more I like the idea!!! Never thought about them being waterproof! Also, lots of people have suggested that they be put around the ankles of little ones, so that's what I'll be doing!

Thanks much for the idea and link. I'm going to look into this for DS5. He knows our home number, but not both of our cells, and always try to put a slip in his pocket or something when we are at large gatherings just in case, but this would be a wonderful long-term solution.

When we went to Disneyland last month I used some dog tags that the children had received from our local police department. On one side it said Jr. Police officer. The other side was blank. My youngest came up with the idea of putting my cell phone on the other side of the dog tag. I used a Sharpie and it started to smear so I covered that with clear packing tape and it worked perfectly. Plus it was free!

We just go to Walmart or Petsmart, any place that has a machine that makes dog-tags, and get a tag of my child's choice with our cell phone number, his name, etc. He wears it on a small necklace and calls it his "call my momma" necklace. Fortunately in all the times we have been he has not had to use it, but at least it was there in case.

I thought I may paint my son's room, so I happened to have some Lime Green color Mickey Head Paint Chips in the house ;) ;)
Anyway - I cut them out, wrote his name and "if lost call ###-####" (hubby's cell phone) and found self-stick laminating tags to put them in. They had a loop on it that I could put on belt loop or shoe, depending on the outfit.
He's only 3.5, so I drilled into his head that if he could not find us, he should go find a Mommy pushing a stroller and show her his Mickey tag - Didn't mean to burden my fellow mom's, but that seemed easier than trying to explain who the CM's were and I didn't think there was a mother out there that wouldn't help a lost kid.

oh I love this idea...but now we leave thursday!! DARN IT!!!:sad1:
Another way to go, if you're crafty. Make necklaces - or whatever. You can buy beads with letters & numbers on them. Easy to change if your phone # changes too. My girlfrien made them for her DD & DS they were cute. Just think of all the Disney beads you could find!!!

Another option is sayitbands.com - you can get them in toddler sizes too. I knew I had gotten one last year for DD but have a new cell phone number now so needed a new one - after I saw this thread I ordered her one (so at the most it was the day the thread was started) and I got it today. Not only did I get the one I ordered but they threw in 4 more in a rainbow of colors so she now has one to coordinate with pretty much anything she could want to wear - and a lime green one to boot :rotfl: The toddler sized ones of course won't fit as much but I got a (butterfly design) XXX-XXX-XXXX (butterfly design) on it and DD is old enough to tell someone what it is and even being upset to show them the bracelet and I think any adult would know it's a parent's cell phone number. Just another option - Oh and I think it was a little more expensive ($4.99) but I like the toddler size because they fit her good and won't just fall off.

This is an awesome idea!! Thanks for sharing, plus, it was great read this whole post to check out those of you that have ordered and been happy with the final product!!
