will my Ontario driver's license suffice as proof of age at bars at Universal Orlando? I have had some issues at bars in the US using it before; where they have asked to see my passport. i would prefer not to carry my passport with me but will do so if an out of country driver's licence is an issue.
Just as a side note, I am well over 21 and look well over 21 but I think for technical reasons in some places they still require a passport as proof of age.

Never heard of anyone having an issue there before. Only place I ever heard of an issue was in California.

Just take a photocopy of your passport and tuck it in your lanyard and also have a copy on your mobile telephone. That is what my adult children did to accompany Welsh/English driving licences and the ‘documents’ were accepted everywhere.

I’ve heard some people take a pic of their passport on their phone and show that if asked. We’re in the States all the time in many different states, including Florida, and I’ve never had anyone ask to see my passport along with my Ontario license. I never have my passport on me so I would probably be denied if they asked for it but it’s never happened. Usually I just point out where my DOB is on the license and they’re fine.

Narcoosee and Trader Sams at WDW always seem to ask and some of the bars/Clubs in Citywalk.

Florida state law states only either Nationally Issued IDs or IDs issued in the United States are acceptable forms of ID. So for a Canadian you would need either your passport, a copy of your passport AND a valid photo ID (drivers license) or a NEXUS card (issued by US).

I can't find an online copy of the Florida statute, but here's a basic rundown from the Disneyworld website.

Came here to say the same thing - you'll want either a photo or photocopy of your passport and your DL in Florida. If you travel to other states watch out as some (like California) will only accept the physical passport. I just carry my Nexus card now as it's easier.

Wow, thanks, this info is all so helpful :) I will take a picture of my passport and keep that just in case. Much easier than carrying it around. Worse case scenario I stick to non alcoholic drinks :)
