We are thinking about taking the drive up to the springs next month, and I am looking for any suggestions or tips anyone might have. Looks like alot of fun, but definately a long ride! We are staying at the beach club at disney. TIA

I don't have any tips, but would LOVE for you to post a review and let us know how long it takes to get there when you get back. I have been considering this for a couple of years.

If you get the chance to go don't hesitate!!!! Tubing down the springs is awesome.

I live close to this and I would have to say I don't think it is worth the amount of time it would take you to drive from WDW and back to go. I just don't enjoy it. To many snakes, gators and other critters. Also the bottom is full of nasty grass.

We didn't see any snakes or gators when we went. Since we were floating in tubes the grass didn't bother us.

It is beautiful and I have been going there since I was a child but it is a long way from Orlando and it is not on a main interstate and it is just like the lazy river but natural.
You can go to Deland to Blue Springs or Wekiva Springs if you just want a natural cold water spring experience - those places are much closer
