:) Hi All,

I know i've asked this question before but i didn't get any replies so i thought i'd ask again.:(

Does anyone have any info on flying with Icelandair? I'm having a small panic now as i have just found out that my DH might not be able to get time off work in time for our hols!
The thing is DH is a fisherman and goes away to sea for long trips, sometimes for 4 weeks at a time! Last year he was finnished fishing long before the beginning of Nov but this year work has been slower and i may have to take DD on holiday alone for the first time :(

We've never flown with Icelandair before,we always used BA but we got really cheap flights with Icelandair so we jumped at the chance!

i've been on their web site but that wasn't much help.

Any info would be very much appreciated,
Thanx

Luv Audrey,
xxxxxxxxxx

Hi Audrey :)
The only person I know for sure who used this airline was Mo ( posts as Scotfan). These were her comments:

We got flights from Glasgow for £230 this Feb with Icelandair, The flights were fine and didnt have to check in at Glasgow until 11 am so you could drive up that morning! It means you get there pretty late though. We would certainly use them again.

Thanx for that Shirley!

It's always a bit of a worry flying with an airline you've never used before, especialy if you have to go it alone!;)

I flew to Boston with icelandair in January and was quite impressed. The stop-over in Reykjavik was pretty painless and made a nice change from some airports I've been in (especially Heathrow!) and their in-flight service was perfectly acceptable. I would certainly fly with them again, although the trip to Boston is pretty short compared to Florida.

Thanx Simon,
I don't suppose you remember if there was much leg room?
How did it compare with BA/Virgin?:)

We were in standard economy seats and I can't remember much about them, which must be a good sign (if I had been cramped at all, I'm sure I would have remembered!). I just remember that the hour's break in Reykjavik actually made for a nice way of getting to the States for a change.

Thanx again Simon,

It will be nice to get off the plane and stretch our legs, i suppose it's much better for you (health wise) than sitting still for 10 hours!;)

Cheers Simon!
Luv Audrey,
xxxxxxxxxx
