Iceland Aug 2020 Cruise Question

We are heading to Copenhagen in August to catch the MAGIC heading over to Iceland, Norway and Scotland

Has anyone taken the Ice Cave tour? Is it worth the cost ? How physically fit does one have to be ?

Any help is appreciated

Haven’t done this but have been to Iceland. If they have a Blue Lagoon option, highly recommend.

There are various options, even if the transatlantic is cancelled. DCL can sail the ship without passengers and re position to Europe. That way , depending on the situation, DCL can just pick which itinerary to start the summer season with.

That way the entire summer season would not be completely scrapped, which would have enormous financial implications for DCL.

Edited: Haha...I just re read your post and I thought you wanted to know about the Ice Bar in Copenhagen, not an Ice Cave....! And....the Ice Bar we went to was in Oslo, not Copenhagen....my recollection was all messed up....too much Corona on the brain (not the beer).

We did the Magic Ice Bar in Copenhagen (correction, Oslo). It was a few years ago. It was part of an excursion we booked through Disney. It was fun. They give you big cape like coats to wear. Don't know if I would need to go do it again but definitely something novel to try once.

Somebody‘s gotta rain on the OP’s parade. I was wondering how many posts it would take. It didnt take long. I agree with your analysis by the way. They can reposition the ship without passengers. I don’t think they‘ll scrap the Alaska season either. It will just start in July.

I haven’t done the ice cave tour, but Iceland is awesome. I’d like to do that cruise again, but my son wants to go to Russia.
