Ice water at CS questions

I'm debating whether to bring a refillable water bottle with us in the parks or just get cups of ice water at CS when we want them. Since we'll be there in August we'll be drinking a lot of water. Are there any "self-serve" soda fountains in the parks like at the resorts? If not where are the best (shortest lines) to get water? It seems silly to worry abut this, but if we don't have to wait forever in lines to get water I'm leaving the water bottles in the room. Also are they small cups and do they have tops? Thanks. -Yay, this is the last detail I need to figure out before we go

Electric Umbrella had the self serve fountain last time I was there. That was September 2010. I think it's still there.

Besides Electric Umbrella the only two other Quick Service locations in the parks that have self serve drink stations is Sunshine Seasons at Epcot and Backlot Express at Hollywood Studios.

You can get free ice water from a CS even if there isn't a self-service area. Just head on up to the counter and ask. I usually just use the water fountains but I think we once got a large ice water at a CS once. For health reasons, I don't believe that they can refill your personal bottle - you'll get a paper cup. Large cup w/lid & straw (no straw in AK, of course).

I been carrying myown water bottles for years. but was told like the poster above you can just ask for water so going to try that when I go in october. one less thing to lug around. The best water fountain is on main street right as you go under the train station it will be on the right hand side. the water is filtered watch the CM flock to fill there water from it the water from the fountain tastes yucky to me plus thinking of the gross things like people putting there mouths on the spicket grosses me out!

We carry our own water. I don't want to stand in a CS line to ask for free water.

From personal experience, you can definitely go to any CS location and ask for a glass of ice water, some will give you a small glass others will give you a huge glass, but they will all give you water!

I lugged a water bottle for each member of my family only to have every CM give me a paper cup with ice water whenever I asked for water. I will be happy to leave all those water bottles at home next time!
