Just a word of warning. On our Magic Halloween Cruise there was ALWAYS problems with the Ice Tea Dispenser.

The Crew tht I mentioned it to the first time tried to fix it but couldn't. Then the problems persisted between Working and Not Working all through the cruise.

When I mentioned it to a (Blue Person) they just said OK and really were not that concerned about it. Not what I had come to expect from the "Exceed my expectations" Disney Magic crew of before.

Just thought new cruisers should know.

I take it you are referring to the new-style drink stations, which I haven't used yet.
Personally, I HATE HATE HATE tap iced tea. I will only drink the fresh-brewed stuff, so I make my own on the ships with the tea bags, hot water, and ice.
I was so dissapointed when we recently at at Buca Di Beppo (and Italian chain near our home) and they had changed to that tap junk. Our server saw me taste it and make a face, and she said that many other people had noticed and mentioned it as well, so at least I felt like I am not the only fussy one!
On the ship, I love the black currant and mint teas. Usually the server is confused the first night when I order it at dinner but then they get the idea to bring my hot tea fixings and ice (or sometimes they just make it for me, which always earns them an extra tip).

I should have tried that instead of trying to get the situation fixed.

The new station is the same size but since there are more selections Water, Lemonade, Milk, coffee and occasionally Tea they also run out of Ice very fast and have to leave a cooler chest (Are they allowed to bring that on the cruise LOL) filled with Ice on most Sea Days

Barb,
That is exactly what I did! Hot Mint tea in the mornings, and Black Current or another tea made in the evening in the white pitchers with a cup of ice. I even sweetened it in the carafe and my server just poured it for me when I was ready!
Can't stand that other JUNK!!!

There isn't a single restaurant in Georgia that would hope to serve that tap stuff rather than the real deal and ever hope to get any repeat business. Even the fast-food chain restaurants serve the real brewed stuff here.

Barb, et al --

I TOTALLY AGREE about that tap iced tea -- tastes AWFUL! I do the same thing at my meals on board, except use the Lemon Zinger. YUM!

I suspect one of the reasons the ice may tend to get low fast is the amount of ice chests/coolers that the passengers are filling up...;)

I think there ought to be an ice station somewhere on board (like in hotels). I can remember wanting ice, but not having it in my room (it melted from before). Once I was in the bath just ready to take a shower and there was a knock on the door wanting to deliver ice. I told them to 'never mind'.

I am more of a 'do it myself' kind of person. I would rather just be able to go get ice when *I* want it, instead of having it delivered at times when I don't need it only to have it melt by the time I do need it.

Anyway, two of my suggestions for DCL has been to have an 'ice stations' and to have one of those machines in the laundry rooms that spin the water out of swim suits (we have them at the pool at our university and they work really well).

I agree with you WestJones...so many times during our recent cruise I wanted ice in the stateroom bucket, but host was nowhere to be found. We bought 2 -12 packs of sodas, in which I would take 2 out of the cooler (they should call it a warmer) to put in ice, but had no ice.

It would be a great thing if they added an ice machine in or near the laundry room...
