I have a feeling my old friends at LG&E have been having a rough week!
Our families all fared well. They live in the Bardstown Rd area and in Lexington.
At least you were able to take advantage and get some nice pics.
Pugrpooh - Your pictures are scary but beautiful! The ones with the cardinals are very lovely.
The Help Desk I work with has been getting calls from lots of schools (and staff) in Kentucky, Missouri and Oklahoma who have just reopened after this storm and need to reschedule the national testing we administer.
I definitely fear ice far more than any amount of snow!
Those are great pictures. The ice storm was kind of Narnia like. Beautiful. We're in Lexington. We kept power the whole time and I'd just been to the grocery so we sat around and fed ourselves and played games. I felt kind of guilty since there were so many without power.
Beautiful pics! I live in Western KY and we are still without power and it's far from beautiful now. It's about the worst thing I've ever been through.

I hope you get your power back on soon! That is so awful. We have friends who are just able to go home today. They live between Lex. and Richmond. Hopefully, you'll be warm again soon too.

Oh, I hope you get power soon. We lost it for a day and a half and in Sept. we lost it for 4 days. No fun at all! DD's boyfriend lives in Madisonville and they don't expect power back for several weeks.
I like your picture too. We didn't have much sun with it until it started melting quickly. DD and my brother are in Danville, not far from you and they were hit real hard, although DD was home on break last week. Boyle Cty. schools are still out.
