Ice Station Cool is closed for refurbishment?

I read on WDWMagic.com that Ice Station Cool at Epcot is closed for a refurbishment for 6 months! Anyone know what the refurb will make the free Coke station into? More importantly, where can I obtain Beverly so I can trick friends into drinking it?

Aaaahhhh say it ain't so! It was such a great place to rest in the AC and get a FREE drink! Why can't they do that in the winter when you don't need to cool off?

I'm thinking like beginning of June. We were there May 21 and it was still open, but in bad disrepair. More then half of the soda things didn't work, the tunnel was warm, had no snow, and stunk!

Badly needed, but I agree, wouldn't fall/winter have been a better time to do it?

That's it....I HAVE to ask!!! What on earth is Beverly soda???? I've heard it mentioned throughout this site and I have NO idea what it is. Could someone pleeeeeeaaaassse enlighten?

It's gross! It's a soda from Italy that's made with anise (?) and it's yucky. But it's fun to tell someone you heard it was good and have them take a big gulp

Well, I love black licorise, which tastes kind of like anise. So does it taste like black licorice (or the black jelly beans)?

Beverly soda sounds gross and I think it would be mean to try to trick someone into taking a big gulp just for a laugh. I know I wouldn't think it was too funny if someone tried to trick me into drinking it. I love a good joke but not when it's mean to others. Sorry Bill, no disrespect intended.

I know that lots of people do not like the Beverly drink. But I really do.
To me anyway, it tastes like it has cloves in it. Each time I visit, I say to myself, " Yes - I still like this one ". I know I would buy it if it was available near to where I live. I hope it will still be available when I visit in December.

I went to the World of Coke several months ago. When I got to the room with the beverages the employee said there was one to watch. That most folks were surprised by it. I asked was it Beverly? He said how did you know? I told him I had been to Ice Station Cool in WDW.

I understand World of Coke will be moving to a new location.

It may be mean, but it's hilarious. It backfired on me though. I tricked my sister first (there was a group of 8 of us.) well she made me drink it too or she was going to tell everyone. So I had to drink it myself before i coudl trick anyone else. I got my DS5 twice. The second time he ran away to tell everyone else in our group that "mommy tricked me again and made me drink beer" It was all in good fun though. Everyone thought it was funny.
