Which is your favorite way to skate? BTW, do they still even call it roller skating, or is it always referred to now as inline skating?
I grew up in Mass. and of course I had more than my fair share of chances to go ice skating on any frozen body of water, so where did I learn to ice skate... In South Carolina. For some reason I never learned to skate as a kid. Sure I would go sliding across the ice with my sneakers, but it wasn't until I was older and living in SC that I actually took the time to learn to ice skate. But now that I know how, it is my favorite kind of skating.
I did go roller skating a few times as a kid (anybody remember "All stop, reverse direction"?), but I never really got into it. So for me, now that I know how to Ice skate, I'll choose ice skating.

My parents have a house right across the street from a small pond where I learned to ice skate. Although it stopped freezing over all together about the time I hit 8 years old. By that time though I was already doing a little bit of figure skating, speed skating and some hockey, both of which I stopped around 12 years of age for soccer. While I love to ice skate more because the skates are much less bulky, I really like that you can rollerblade just about anywhere.

I learned to ice skate MUCH sooner than I ever put on a pair of rollerblades, or skates for that matter. Now I have to say that I actually like rollerblading, because of the ability to do it just about anywhere. When I go on vacations now sometimes I'll bring my rollerblades if I don't have the option of going to a gym at the hotel/resort we'll be staying at. Plus it's a lot of fun!

I do ROLLER SKATE (yano the 4 wheels...2 in front 2 in back!) lol the rinks here do allow it and we even have some that do not allow inline skates. Since I live in FL ice is harder to find. I like all 3, though I prefer roller skates!

Being in Mass too I grew up skating on the pond in the winter and my kids now all skate. As a matter of fact one of my Dtwins is a goalie for youth hockey. I have roller skated and roller bladed but didn't care for them as much

I've never been ice skating (although the pond outside my house *is* frozen right now....;) ), but I loved roller skating when I was growing up. :goodvibes

I voted other - I like my skates with 4 wheels - 2 in front & 2 in back.

Around here, inline skating is the wheels in a row front to back - I can't do those.

I like inline skating since I grew up doing it and it is super easy LOL. I tried ice skating (I DO live in the frozen tundra after all) but it was alot harder..that could be because the ice rink doesn't have a smooth surface though..I actually pretended to be helping Holly around the rink with the walker..it was really for me LOL
