We plan to use a cooler instead of renting a refrigerator in the room - mostly for adult beverages after a long day at the parks

Are there Ice Machines on the floors at WL? If not, it kind of makes the coolers useless.

Also, we've changed ressies from WL to FW, but I can't remember how to change the countdown!

Yes they have ice machines on each floor of the WL. Enjoy the Lodge, it is beautiful!:)

We used ice in coolers to keep water and other beverages cool...worked out great until the strofoam cracked...then we had to keep the cooler in the tub...but it still kept everything cold...:D

Yes Ice machines on all floors, just depends on your room as to how close you are to the machine.

Free ice who needs a Fridge hey....

I just use the old sink, that is why Disney provides two sinks isnt it? Just fill that sink up with Ice and presto. But a cooler is even better. (but we come often for just a day or two stay and dont want to bring a cooler, but if I was coming for a 4-7 day stay I would sure invest in one of those flexible coolers, for sure).

A flexible cooler is a great idea!

We were thinking about just picking up a couple of styrofoam coolers at the grocery store on the way from the airport. I think a flexible cooler is a much better option!

Thanks

Just back yesterday from 4 nights at WL. We took a rolling cooler to our room, and refilled it as needed from the ice machines on our floor. It worked out great!!! Only had to change ice twice all week.
