ICE @ Gaylord Palms?

We are looking to do this when we go in Dec. Has anybody been to this before, how long would it take out of a day to go round, is it worth the extra money to go in or would we be better off using the money towards something else? We have already got tickets for MVMCP and are seriously thinking about the sleigh rides at WL.Although we have been to Florida many times we have never been at this time of year. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I went to ICE last December with my husband and two daughters, and we had a ball! They were so fascinated with all the different ice sculptures and snow! It took us about an hour and a half to look at everything. We had a blast and would definately reccomend going in and checking it out! Just remember that it i s only 9 degrees! So dress warm and HAVE FUN!!

We are going to do this too. We wanted to the past 2 years but never did. I told DH this year we are doing it It was about $17 last year and they keep adding things each year. The ice slides look cool!

We visited ICE! last year and really enjoyed it. The ice sculptures themselves take about an hour or so to fully appreciate, then factor in some time to play on the ice slides, and new this year is a skating rink, where for just $5 extra you can rent skates and go ICE! skating.

We made a few hour side trip out of it, watching the holiday show in the lobby (a wonderful singing group), having a free hot chocolate, and just wandering the Gaylord Palms incredible atrium. Add a meal, browse the gift shop, and you've got a full afternoons entertainment.

BTW, they provide cozy-warm ponchos, so it's ok to show up in shorts. But I'd wear trainers rather than open-toed shoes. It does get pretty cold in there!
