Ice Cream Social Gone?

A friend tried to reserve the Ice Cream Social in Aug. and was told it was discontinued...anyone else hear this?

Yep- they stopped doing this after the renovation at the Garden Grill.

It is true, I called in April and they told me the same thing. We are soooo disapointed!!

Rehitching Ceremony has been gone for a while. I would say since like Sept of last year. Another perk Disney seem to cutback.

That is what I figured. I just thought I had read some trip reports that were more recent and someone had done this.

OH well, it's just too bad though.

what's wrong with disney first the ap crap and now no ice cream social .it was a great way to relax at epcot in the early afternoon .if you ask me disney losing it's focus with their customer base.but still going in nov/dec2005

Actually, the ice cream social discontinuation came first, then they took away Imaginum, the living statues over at Epcot, and now the AP crap. And yes, even with my beloved Imaginum gone, I will still be there in December. Maggie
