I thought I read here on the boards that there are ice cream cookie sandwiches at AK that are comparable to the ones at main street bakery in MK. Can anyone confirm this and where are they and are they on the dining plan? TIA

We got ice cream cookie sandwiches at Dino Bites for a snack credit back in May 2009, it's not available for a snack credit anymore.

Just found this and the ice cream cookie sandwich isn't on the menu now:

bummer...would have been nice to have another place to get them.

But do keep in mind that's not an all-inclusive or official list (not doubting your own experience, just saying that list is just what people on these boards have reported getting for a snack credit this year.)

I don't think the ice cream sandwich was on the menu at dino bites in late June. They had waffles cones and sundaes.

When I went in October, Dino Bites did not have the DDP symbol next to the ice cream sandwich. I was disapointed as I heard that you could get them as a snack credit.

i got one in january and it was heavenly. it was on their menu at in AK but didnt have the snack icon. i asked the cm and he said yes. it was so delicious and huge and WAY better than the one i had at MK. I will certainly try to get one in Sept. I would pay OOP if i have to. I just hope they DO still serve them one way or the other. If they serve cookies, and ice cream, why would they take it off the menu? Here's hoping. :wizard:

Come back and give us a report, please...if it's still available AND if they let you use a snack credit.:thumbsup2

I had one at POR. Or was it POFQ? One of the two. (I think they both had it available).

But, I could not use it with the dining plan as a snack credit (I asked). Paid OOP, and ABSOLUTELY worth it. (this was Dec 2009)

I then used my snack credit to get a Mickey rice krispy treat to take back to the room popcorn::

It definitely wasn't marked as a snack in Dec 09. Never thought to ask. Had an ice cream sundae instead for a snack credit.

Ice cream cookie sandwiches, sounds great! I would at least love the sight of one.

I have read a few accounts stating the cookie sandwiches at DinoBytes are not included on the dining plan as a snack.
