icar rental--two airports?

Can you rent a car at one airport (Sanford) and return it at the other (MCO)? I am looking to fly Allegiant but they switch their service routes between my two flights, so I'll fly into one airport and depart from another. Do car rental places charge a fee for this? Anyone done this? HELP!

I would check directly with the rental companies you are considering, but on our last visit, many rental companies did not charge a drop-off fee as long as the car was returned within the state of Florida.
