iBook or MacBook?

HELP, Please!!!

Per my previous post about my DS breaking the screen of my laptop, I am looking into purchasing a new one.

I think I'm going to break away from PC's and try Apple. So....I'm looking at the iBooks and the MacBooks and it seems that about the only advantage is that you get an IPod Nano for free with the MacBook, lol.

Anyone know any major differences?

MacBooks are the modern iBooks. They have more powerful processors and are far more futureproof.

DEFINITELY get the MacBook instead of an iBook.

macBook all the way- I think you'll be really pleased with the switch, once you get through the initial learning curve. Find a Mac friend who can show you the ropes- much easier. Download firefox as your main browser- I don't care for Safari.

I just traded my year old iBook for a MacBook. I love the better screen, but the speakers are nowhere near as good.

Thanks everyone, I ordered the MacBook (although, now I need to break it to my DH).

I'm really excited. It said that it wouldn't be here until Aug. 2, but I'm hoping sooner than that.

I was looking at MacBooks this morning! I really want a laptop, but I'm not sure what I can afford. They do seem really nice though.

All of my Apple products have come earlier than expected. They will send you a huge amount of emails detailing the shipping, receipts, etc. I did buy the Apple Care warranty and have been so pleased with customer service. (I did not get it with my ipod and the CS has also been good through Apple for that though )
