Hi just wanted to know how your trip went as i know you were staying at the holiday inn, what did you think about the hotel? I hope it was good as we are staying there at the end of may.
How did you get to and from the airport in the end as I can remember you were planning to take a taxi as i replied to a thread about rs transprt.

Look forward to hearing about the trip hope you had a good time.

I'll be along later to address this....but what is really cool is I've got my own thread!.

OK - did get around to this last night.

Flight
Flight from Exeter to CDG with FlyBE, landing CDG at 20:00

Transport
I'd arranged for RS Transports to transports us from CDG to Holiday Inn. As suggested, the driver was awaiting for us as we cleared customs. I'd have NO ISSUE using again or suggesting others make use of RS Transports.

There was a small confusion with the return journey - I'd arranged to meet RS Transport in the Taxi Rank outside the train station at 6pm - and I was on the look out for a 7 seater, with some indication it was for me, or from RS Transports. Confusion occured because the 7 seater that arrived wasn't 'branded' RS Transports - instead it was listed as 'Quick Travel'.

It got further confusing because the driver of the 'Quick Travel', did speak to my partner, but she thought he was looking for Mr Young - I think in hindsight that he done that French thing were they tend to list the surname before the firstname, and then assumed that IAIN was my Surname - then added the french accent, and I can see how IAIN could be YOUNG (trust me, we've spend sometime playing with this). So of course Cheryl and trh driver parted company.

So I had to call their office in the end at 6.15, who assured me the driver was there, and they called him. All confusion was cleared up - and this couple of paragraphs probably make the situaiton sound worst than it really was.

As I say above I'd have no issues with using RS Transports again - similarly I would recommend them to any of you who are looking for similar transport. For the 6 of us it cost €170 return (€85 each way).

Hotel
I have to say that I was really impressed with the Holiday Inn. I've stayed in a couple in the UK, and wasn't really expecting much - but I was bowled other by the size, rooms etc. Again no really issue going back to Holiday Inn

Shuttle Bus
Runs every 15/20 minutes, from 6am thru to midnight.
Depending on when you catch the shuttle it can be busy, as it also serves some of the other hotels in the same row - although I never worked out which as depending on when I caught the bus the hotels it visited seemed to change!.

I tended to catch it around 9.30am-ish which isn't too bad, returning to the Hotel sometime around 10pm or later. As the park didn't open until 10am, this give me time to visit Salon Mickey and eat yummy cookies/cakes etc for breakfast - all the kind of stuff that for years your parents have told you aren't suitable for breakfast!.

Incidently - if any of you follow www.castmember.be - I met Sven in Salon Mickey!.

I'll try and add more to this later!.

I read on his site that he'd been there, was amazed to read that there is only 1 CM present at Salon Mickey and they have to do everything.
