IAH Smoking area???

I have been looking around the WEB trying to find this info, with no luck, so I thought someone on the DIS might know.

We are traveling west and have a connection in Houston's IAH and one of our friends is a smoker. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are smoking areas near terminal C?

There is no smoking allowed anywhere in the airport terminal. Your friend will have to walk outside to smoke.

Might I suggest some nicotine gum for your addicted friend...? I would suggest he quit but people seem so reluctant to do so...

please also let your friend know that he can't light up right outside the door either - can't smoke in the entire building or within 25 feet of any entrance/exit.

the fine is steep too - they can write tickets up to $2000.
