I65 w/construction on I64

with construction on the bridge on I64 and the bridge being closed i was wondering how is traffic on the I65 with all of the interstate traffic thru Louisville has anyone made the drive recently we leave friday from chicago and i am debating on taking 65 (my personal favorite route) or 57 if u have made the trip was driving down better than coming back or vica versa

We were down that way a few weeks ago and decided to detour around the Ville completely. That was during a Friday afternoon rush hour, but on Sunday afternoon at 4ish we had no trouble traveling from So. IN across the I-65 bridge into KY. Our entire family lives in that area and the rush hour traffic is just a nightmare. I'd say if you are going to be going through on a Friday that you should completely avoid the area from the hours of 3:30-7pm. Before that there should not be an issue and after that it lets up. i'm guessing we would be driving thru early afternoon on friday and coming home late on a friday night
