I won! I won! Disney trip! UPDATE: WE'RE HOME!

Maybe one of them will get a chance to check in with us during the week. That would be awesome!

Wonder if any of them are wearing their DIS green just in case they might meet other DISer's at WDW or Disneyland?

Maybe one of them will get a chance to check in with us during the week. That would be awesome!

The winners of the Macy's Moms contest arrived at Walt Disney World last night. I have some posts up about what they are doing:
http://themeparkmom.com/tag/macys-celebrate-mom/

And I'll be following them throughout the week. Disney is really giving them the royal treatment. They have the option of several VIP experiences, and I hear their private dinner on Thursday night is going to be amazing. I'm posting the details of their itinerary this afternoon for those of you who want to live vicariously through these lucky ladies!

Cool! Off to check it out! I'm sure they are having a blast!

ETA: Those pink furry Mickey Ears are so cute!

Wow sounds like they are having a magical time.

I'm sooooo jealous. Can't wait for them to report back and let us know how it all went.

I've enjoyed this thread so much - it was fun right from the first post knowing they'd won!

Now to be able to follow their adventure - terrific!!

Thanks so much! :)

Thanks for keeping us in the loop, themeparkmom!

Hi Everyone!!! WE'RE HOME!!!

I stayed an extra day so we didn't get home until after midnight (which would be Sunday morning). I am so tired!!

I don't even know where to begin. It was unbelievable. Truly magical. All the special surprises and gifts they gave us were amazing. I've never felt so special in all my life.

I'm sure there are trip reports here and I will need to get my thoughts together to put mine together.

Disneyland was lots of fun. The weather was PERFECT and the convenience of everything so close was neat. We had a breakfast at Sleeping Beauty's Castle which was private for the winners. All the princesses came out, the buffet was wonderful, then we had about an hour to ride a few select rides that they opened for us only.

Disneyworld was .... well, HOT! Too hot. Hard to do anything hot. The resort was breathtaking. The dinner Disney gave us in Epcot was nothing short of amazing - buffet dinner with everything you can imagine, prime rib, chicken, pork roast, etc. Open bar - beer & wine, live DJ, all sorts of fun activities for the kids (bounce castle, face painting, etc) plus, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and the incredibles - not only made an appearance but literally hung with us that night!

It was so much fun and I'm so thankful for this experience. I met some wonderful families and had fun with Kiddret & SportbikeMom!! :thumbsup2

Now it's back to reality ;)

WELCOME BACK!!! Sounds like you had an amazing trip
sprinkled with a lot of magic!! So happy for you! I know

I'm sure you need a vacation after the vacation! Hope
you'll be back when your rested to tell us more!!!:dance3:

Welcome home, Trish!

I'm sure it was truly the trip of a lifetime! :cloud9: We're all anxiously waiting for the details!!! :goodvibes

(we'll give you time to catch your breath and get things caught up at home & work first! ;))

Thanks everyone. I thought I'd come back today and find the other winners had posted all the details. Let me see what I can remember in my lack of sleep mode ;)

Left last Sunday - arrived in California/Disneyland around 1 p.m. The Grand Californian was beautiful! There was a big sign welcoming the Macy winners with pink Mickey ear balloons (pink was the theme throughout the trip). We checked in at a separate area where they gave us our park hopper tickets, $200 gift card, a cute pink laynard for each "Mom" winner that said "Celebrate Mom" with 2 pins on it that said the same. For the other 3 guests they had a badge that said Macy's Celebration that they had to wear for all the VIP events. They also gave us 4 bottles of water. They also gave my family a 1st time visit pin to Disneyland :) We went to the room and unloaded and headed out.

OH I FORGOT - that morning when we woke up around 4 a.m. my youngest DD woke with a 101 degree fever :scared1: I was so stressed. The airplane ride really bothered her ears, clogging them. So...that lasted until Wednesday!! Poor thing was dragging while in California.

Monday morning we had to meet at 6:20 a.m. in the conference room at the hotel - they had coffee and hot chocolate and all of us winners got a cute pink sash that said "I'm a Macy's Mom" on it. Funny, because my daughter is Macie so HOW TRUE WAS THAT!!:thumbsup2

We then proceeded to our breakfast at Sleeping Beauty's Castle that was private for us winners. It was decorated in pink tablecloths with the pink mickey ear balloons. Buffet breakfast was served with eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon, fruit, pastries, coffee, juice. There were HUGH signs hanging as you enter the park and on the castle welcoming the Macy Mom winners. They had an area set up where each family went over and got a family photo taken with the castle behind us. I'm thinking they are going to send us that photo as we never heard about it after. Then...ALL of the princesses came out:wizard:They went to each table talking to us, taking photos, etc. When breakfast was done we took a group photo of all the winners in front of the castle then we were off to enjoy 4 rides they opened just for us for the next 45 minutes until the park opened. It was so much fun!!

Tuesday we had to be in the lobby ready to leave for the airport around 6:30 a.m. (CAN YOU TELL HOW TIRED WE ALL MUST BE). Just before boarding the busses they handed each winner a big Macy's bag FILLED with all sorts of Disney snacks - yogurt pretzles, carmel popcorn, candy, so much more plus a cute pink fuzzy mickey ears for the winners and 3 standard black mickey ear hats for the guests. Then we were off to the airport to our 2 chartered Southwest planes for all us winners. We were given so many snacks and drinks on the plane! I'm not sure if that is how SOuthwest always does it but WOW they kept coming by - more drinks? more snacks? We landed around 6:30 in Florida and got our chartered bus to the Yacht Club :thumbsup2
