I sure wish we could use our pts. to buy park passes or merchandise.


We have over 100pts left from 2010 banked to 2011.
Because of stupid cancer surgery & treatments they will expire.

No I don't want to rent them. I would really wish we could use these for an up coming celebration of life with our whole family. They are our pts & we paid all the MF fees. Just saying...... I wish we could use them!

But as my grandma use to say " If wishes were horses, beggars would ride"

I know a couple of newlyweds that would love it if you donated those points to them. (EDIT: I'm sorry ... this was classless, and I apologize. You may be able to donate them to "Give Kids the World" or another organization like that.)

In all seriousness, though ... Cancer SUCKS. I'm sorry you had to go through that, more than I'm sorry your points will go to waste. Here's to praying you (or your loved one) beats the cancer and you get many more years of Disney magic!

On a side note, I grew up in Chicago (Evanston) and my little sister was born there. Small world!

I've heard great stories about people making reservations with unused points and donating it to Give Kids the World. Would be a great way to make those points not go to waste and feel good about it.

Make a reservation then donate the reservation to a local organization for an auction.

We are due to go in 2 1/2 weeks and my dad has been diagnosed with cancer, we are renting points so will prob lose 18 nights at bwv, I have just posted a thread about this as I would rather give it away!

I contacted Give the Kids the World and told them that I wanted to donate some points I wasn't using. They set it up so a volunteer used the reservation. Call them if you really want to donate the trip.

I have it too, stage 4 colon, and had to bank most of my points this year due to surgery, radiation, and chemo treatments, and then put two contracts up for sale as I won't be here much longer. I will agree with the sentiment that cancer sucks! I hope you recover and have many wonderful vacations in the future. Perhaps call MS and ask for a suggestion from them?---Kathy

None of us know how long we have ....take every day as it comes, until a few weeks ago I lived in a bubble, the past few weeks have changed my view on life....live every day as your last. My dad was a fit healthy man until the end of Nov....little did we know this ugly disease was within...now we do...some people never get the chance to recover......know some do. Kathy I hope all works out for you

You are all in my prayers and thoughts! I've lost almost all my family on my mother's side (including mom and big sis) to cancer and my heart goes out to you

I know what you mean about having extra points due to illness. We lost 4 family members within a 16-18 month period. All have been sick the past few years and now my mil was diagnosed too. No break - cancer sucks and when you have elderly - not so well parents......

We have been able to take one vacation week each year with our points but have enough for more so we have been banking the last two years. Banked again into next year. My son uses a week a year and we treated my soon to be daughter-in-law's parents too. We also booked a cruise for 2013 - if we keep banking, we need to use the points. It's been hard to plan since everyone was so sick.
