I wish I was a kid again this time of year. When Christmas was all about the magic of the season and none of the stress. No cooking, baking or cleaning. Just wake up and it is all wonderful. No worrying about buying presents and paying the bills. Just wake up on Christmas morning to magic.

Of course seeing my kids get so excited is so magical and trumps everything but once in a while I long for the ease of the season that comes with being a child.

I agree with you! As a child you count down the days in anticipation of Christmas Day. As an adult the days go too quickly with all the stuff to do to prepare!

I do look forward to next Christmas though when we will have a little one of our own. I am anxious to start new traditions and carry on some old ones from when I was little.

Amen! Since my mom died all the planning and cooking is on me. I do love watching my kids on Christmas morning, but there's no denying it's a lot of work. I need to find some elves who are tired of all the snow and cold at the north pole to come help me out!

Absolutely I would love to be a kid again. My boys are so excited and counting down the days. It is such a magical time for them. I love seeing their faces on Christmas morning it makes all the running around, baking, cleaning worth it. Merry Christmas.

I agree. While I enjoy this part too..making things magical for the kids and grandchildren, I also miss the days when I woke up after 15 minutes of Christmas Eve sleep to presents, cookies and just pure magic!
