Yesterday I received a letter from Disney informing me of the pool closure during our stay in March. Then last night I was talking with a friend about receiving the letter. Now this friend will also be at Disney during the exact time that we are there. However, they are staying at POR because they have five family members. They originally wanted to stay at POFQ. When I told her about the letter (that I got just yesterday), she told me that she got the same letter 1 month ago. I don't understand why someone staying at POR gets a letter about a pool closure at POFQ one month before someone who is actually staying at that resort. Yes, my reservation has been made just as long as hers. I made mine back in early December when I switched from a AMO to POFQ. If I had known a month ago, maybe there would have been rooms available at POR.
