I WISH Disney Dining had...

I would also like to see a choice between a desert or an appetizer. We loved the dining plan years ago but my husband has been diagnozed with diabetes -so no desrt for him. He often orders a salad with his meals to get some more veggies. The dining plan just does not work for us anymore.

I would also like to see breakfast again at Boatwrights. We ate a sit down breakfast almost every morning there.

I also which the menus were larger and/or more varied. It seems like the same 6 things are on every TS menu.

I am looking forward to the Beauty & the Beast restaurant coming to MK.

Well said Twitterpated!!! :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

I agree:thumbsup2 or as my 15 year old son would say....pwned.;)

Debate is healthy just keep it friendly:)

-The mug on the reg dining plan
-Tips included
-Rotating old characters out and refreshing with new ones

I think they could keep both the boys and girls happy in a pirate / fairy themed meal. Jack Sparrow could be the greeter (or the one you get the pic with when you come into the restaurant). Inside it could be Peter, Hook, Smee, Tink (possibly the other Neverland Faires) and maybe a Lost Boy or two. Disney could really go wild on theming by making the restaurant a real pirate ship or even part of the POTC ride like they do at DLR.

White buns
Refillable mug as standard include on dining plan
tips included on the dining plan
choice of appetizer or dessert on standard dining plan

We also much prefer appetizers!!! Desert is meant to be eaten a couple HOURS after a meal, not right after!!!

I couldn't agree more. I don't generally feel like something sweet right after my meal. I need some time in between.

1) Would you be willing to pay the extra charges for DDP?
2) Appy's are far more expensive than desserts.
. . . most appy's cannot be made ahead of time
. . . salads cannot be kept overnight if not eaten
. . . appy's take a lot more kitchen labor
. . . most appy's are made-to-order and not made in bulk
. . . appy's cannot be bought pre-made and bought in bulk like desserts
3) Someone, and not WDW, would have to pay for the extra costs.
4) If you are willing to pay more for DDP, then just pay OOP now.

Wow. The OP asked for my wish..and that's what I wish for. It's a wish for what a perfect world would offer me. I never said that I don't choose to pay for appetizers OOP. At no time did I insist that a change be made. Sorry if you don't feel the same way, but I think I'm entitled to my wish.

1. a Fantasmic Package with 50's Prime Time Cafe.
. . . where would the folks go who wanted a meal without the package?

2. a Pixar Character Meal
. . . princesses get more attention
. . . and, more ressies
. . . mom's would rather sound for their little girl
. . . this has been shown through surveys and attempts at other themes

3. a Princess Dinner Show
. . . too expensive
. . . besides, all three other shows are not sold out

4. a good soul food restaurant
. . . what has this to do with Disney?
. . . they changed Dixie Landings for Political Correctness
. . . don't think this could survive either

5. Tiana's Palace!
. . . not that popular of a princess
. . . she is just-one-of-many
. . . she is definitely not a Cindy or Snow White

 Apparently no one is allowed to just make a wish in response to a lighthearted and fun thread. Thank you for setting the world straight. :worship:

I agree with the wishes for tipping included and a broader definition of "snack" :thumbsup2

Wish #1 - A Pixar Character Meal! (And not just Toy Story, but a rotating mix of characters from various films.) I don't have kids, and I would be first in line for that.

Thank you drag n' fly and cherokeemamma! It was definitely my intention to keep things friendly.

And MYD714, you are MOST CERTAINLY entitled to make a wish! :thumbsup2

Better choices on the childrens menu's. That is why my sister waited til her lot where over 10 she has never let any of her children eat the muck that seems to be routine on kids menus.

How about some decent Mexican food?

And of course, some decent coffee. (Ain't going to happen ....)

Not sure why everyone is flipping out on RustyScupper. So he disagreed with you and explained why maybe those things aren't going to happen. What's the big deal?

Because we are all posting our *wishes*. We all know, sadly, that the majority of things we are posting are never going to happen. But we can still dream, can't we?
I don't think it was very nice to take one persons list of wishes:wizard: and shoot them down in great detail.

Twitter, you posted just what I wanted to say. There is a big difference between not agreeing and shooting someones ideas down with flip remarks like "she's not that popular, she's no cindy or snow white???!!!" What's THAT about? Moving on......

Cajun food is wildly popular, would LOVE it. Southern cuisine would be great too. Maybe at POFQ. My DSil is staying here this year because her daughter loved the movie and they are doing a Princess/Frog themed trip. We have boys and would love a Pixar or boy related dining experience. We have never booked CRT or the Epcot princess meals for this reason. If Disney wants to compete with US/IOA's Harry Potter experience, they'll add dining that not only appeals to boys, but also one that transcends to older and maybe a little more edgy vacationers. OP, I love your ideas. :thumbsup2:goodvibes

Well said!:thumbsup2

I'm always up for a good debate and I welcome opposing opinions. However, this is a fun thread of wishes. No one really thinks or expects his/her wish to come true, and no one person's wish is better than anyone else's. I thought the negative comments towards wishes were in poor taste for this particular thread. Not every thread lends itself for debate. Why kill the spirit of which this thread was intended? That being said, I hope this is my last comment on RustyScupper--let's get back to wishing! :wizard:

Eh, I didn't see it that way.

I always enjoy TheRustyScupper's no-nonsense posts. He tends to have good inside information.

As much as threads start for one reason, they often take turns. I thought it was interesting to hear his take. People reacted as though he had spit on someone ....

A minor detail, but one thing we noticed this last trip is an utter lack of a SINGLE CHEESEBURGER option for adults!

Yes, they're making some strides with the children's plates - offering carrots or apples or applesauce, etc. with them as an option to help promote healthier eating, and that's good. But then you look at the adult burger option and it's only the double that's available. And they're NOT little burgers.

Please! A single burger option!!!!
