I would love to see you make the mushroom risotto from LeCellier.

GREAT idea, bukkinsmom! I'm sure you'll have a loyal following.:thumbsup2

Did you know there's a thread (I believe on the Community Board) with Disney recipes?

I second the request for LC Risotto....

I am so impressed with the quality of your videos! How did you find the time to do them live? Looking forward to your video series.

Well, I never had the original but I made the grapefruit cake from a recipe here on the dis and it is now on of my favorite cakes
Ooooooh! That's a great idea! It would definitely be a challenge, as I fancy myself a decent "cook", I am a pretty crappy baker.

Glad you are home safe and sound. Your Cooking Disney idea sounds wonderful.

Thanks! I will be able to say that it's good to be home as soon as my house is in order at least somewhat.

Yahooo! I love this idea can't wait to watch. Potato and Leek Soup from Rose and Crown.

MMMMMM, I love a good soup, and winter is a great time to do it!

Sounds like fun; can't wait to see what you cook up! :)

Me too! I will count up the votes the morning of the shoot and then go shopping!

I will definitely let ya'll know! DH will be making a page or dedicating a YouTube channel or something soon.

This is what my DH does for a living, so he pretty quick with it. Normally we would get back to the villa and I would get the kids ready for bed. By that time DH was ready for the voice over and then he would upload while I slept. The next morning I would wake up earlier than the rest and change the name of the video and post in a thread. These are really really quick run and gun compared to what DH normally does.

Here is a clip of my DH doing his own work:

Here's a bit of the media my DH does for our church:

OK FOLKS!!! TODAY IS THE DAY!!!

I am on my way to the store to buy ingredients for
Le Cellier's Mushroom Risotto! I will be adhering to the
recipe posted on www.allears.net and I cannot wait to
see how it comes out. I have never never cooked risotto
before, so we will just have to be careful I suppose.

STAY TUNED>>>>>>>>>>>

Great job on the video of making the risotto. :thumbsup2

I have never made risotto but you made it look easy. I may just have to attempt to make it myself.:)

Loved the video of the Risotto. However, I have to say, your comment of "a little labor intensive" is way understated. I made this twice (half the recipe at a time) and it took like 2.5 hours of constant stirring and ladleing and tending to, not to mention very expensive, my back was killing me by the end of it.. It was very good however!
Anyway, loved your video. :thumbsup2

Great job and look forward many more. With all the pro equipment what type of business are you in?

Hmmmm, mine wasn't nearly 2.5 hours and it was full recipe? It was labor intensive in that there is no way I could've tended to anything else at the same time. I would make it with a grilled meat for sure, or something that didn't require too much attention. I paid $50 for all of the ingredients, and that includes buying things I would normally already have at home, like butter and garlic. Everything that went into today's recipe was bought today, even the salt and pepper. From an ingredient standpoint, I thought the recipe was easy. It was just time consuming in that there was no way I could multitask. Including stopping to film and do voiceover it took me a little over an hour. If I was doing it without narration or filming, I think I could've had it in 45 minutes.

I'm a little bit late for the party. I found this thread today through the POR thread in a roundabout way (went to the trip report first to see the surprise video - awesome!) and am incredibly impressed. Your dining reviews were great (although I disagree with your verdict of the Garden Grill, my teen daughters and I loved it. Our mahi mahi was not dry at all, which may have helped our good opinion, and the desserts were amazing!) and I think on our next trip we'll be visiting a few of those restaurants. I'm also loving the cookingdisney site. I may be making Tonga Toast for breakfast this Saturday. I'd love for you to try out the cheddar bacon soup from Le Cellier, I absolutely loved it and was given the recipe by our server but I'm a bit reluctant to try it out for fear of messing it up completely. Thanks for taking the time to share with the rest of us!
