I Will NOT get sick this close to the trip!

MinnieMom:

There is a seperate Airbourne formula for kids (10 tablets in a container)
I purchase the regular Airbourne formula (lemon-lime flavor) which also has 10 tablets in a container.
Kids can use the regular formula, but only half a tablet (see directions on box)
My daughter (age 9) actually likes how it tastes!!!
It isn't so bad tasting, it just looks a little bit grainy in the glass, but tastes a little like sprite.

I think I feel better... after I started this thread I went for a nap... and didn't get up till 3.36am this morning! I did look for my Ziacam, but it expired in Sept of last year. Haven't heard of Airbourn. I think that as soon as I can drive with out feeling woozey I will run to the local grocery store and get it all and some OJ, cause I feel like I want that.
Couldn't even get water down for a few hours this moring, but oatmeal was a good lunch. And an ice pack on my sinus. I think that it is a combo of the cold front we had move in, and a blocked sinus. I have had very bad sinus attacks and a few surgeries for them, usuall heat helps, but for some reason that felt worse. The cold has helped.
Thanks to you all, and I hope everyone else going next week that isn't feeling good gets better soon! As long as I don't move a lot I am much better today... of course I have a ton of stuff that must be done before we can go. Including finishing a queen size quilt with over 2000 pieces... at least it is all cut out and 2/3 sewn... :thumbsup2 , so no problems! I can always do the hand finishing as we drive down, and if i am still not feeling well it will keep me warm and toasty on the trip! :rotfl2:

I echo everyone saying Airborne (which they make also in a kid's version) and Zicam!!!! Everyone flying needs to take Airborne (or something like it) because of the recycled air.

Along with all the advice here I would add - REST, DAYDREAM about Disney and you're new mantra is I Totally Enjoy my WDW Anniversary Trip and Feeling Fine. Start saying it now - pick a fun tune to sing it in your head. Visualize yourself feeling good, feeling healthy and having a best time at WDW.

Good luck and enjoy your wonderful, health-ful, anniversary!!!! Ely

I have been drinking that yogurt/smoothy thing (can't remember the name) that they advertise on tv. The one that tells you most of your immune system is in your digestive tract. We keep playing pass around the illness at work, and I am hoping this will help. I figured it is worth a shot.

Try to get lots of rest and feel better soon! :grouphug: pixiedust:

I feel for you! I am about 4 days away from my trip..and I am very sluggish---no energy, getting stuffy and the aches are starting! I have up'd the Vit C, Zinc, and am now taking Colloidal Silver. Works WONDERS so I am hoping it won't fail me this time! HAHA
Now just to pray the kids don't get sick either ;)

Another Airbourne fan here. It works for us!!!

Hope you feel better soon... :sunny:

People at work swear by Airbourne. I'm going to get some next trip out. Have used Zicam with success in the past.
Last disney trip, my DD had a slight cold and cough. I had cough drops in my bag, and drove everyone crazy with "Do you need a cough drop?" Hope to avoid that this trip. VERY cold weather predicted this weekend -- stay warm, everybody. Take your vitamins and drink lots of orange juice!
