So Nov. 29 I ordered an extra large 30" Winnie the pooh to put in a box to surprise my kids christmas morning with a Disney trip. I went online to check the status and it said that it was not shipped and was not active! For a large company like Disney to say that they have something and then 8 days later say they don't really ticks me off!!!! I was really counting on that and the price was unbeatable, that is probably why it is conveniently out of stock! Grrr sorry to vent but I think I will be buying my stuck elsewhere.

that sucks!! dont know what the price was but walgreens had some cute mickeys for about 19.99 :)

I placed an order on 11/23 which was cancelled on 11/28 due to the "unavailability of stock". I just placed another order on 11/30 for a D23 membership for my DD for Christmas and as of today it still has not shipped. I can't understand why it takes more than a week to send out a membership packet. At this point, I am worried that I will not receive it in time for Christmas.

Have you called customer service to see what the situation is? Although they may ba unavailable online, you could still have one that's being sent out to you. Or maybe there was a mistake with the order. :confused3

I've ordered with them several times and never had a problem. Personally, I would at least give them a chance to "make it right" before swearing off them forever. There's still plenty of time to have it by Xmas day.

I too am frustrated...I placed and order then got an email from UPS saying that at the request of guest services @ disneyshopping.com the package had been rescheduled due to Emergency Conditions Beyond UPS' Control.

Has anyone else gotten this ?:confused3

Every time I've ordered some breakable from them, I've received it--broken.

A few years ago, it was a snowglobe-a small piece broke off on the outside of the globe. It was in the original packaging, and then shipped in a larger box with just one small pillow pack to hold it in place--which wasn't big enough to do it's job.

Last year, it was a set of glasses, two arrived shattered. Again, original packaging, shipped with one small pillow pack.

This year, it was the Alice in Wonderland tea press. No package around the press, just the press wrapped in bubble wrap with 3 small pillow packs in a huge box. Teh little handle on the tea cup on the lid broke off. I superglued it, just like I did the snowglobe piece.

They were all for the same daughter, maybe she's cursed or something...

Been there, done that- I too had ordered something in the past for a specific event. My order was quite large with a lot of different items. When the box arrived, half of my order was missing. The only notice I got was a letter inside the box saying sorry this item is out of stock and likely won't be re-stocked. I was livid. Talked with customer service - not a lot of help. It left a bad taste in my mouth for Disney.com

Out of all the times I've ordered items from Disneystore.com, something similar regarding stock issues has happened to me probably half the time.

It is hands down the most frustrating online store I have ever shopped. Why they can't manage their stock better & ship items quicker is beyond me.

I order a princess thing on 11/25 figuring it would get here early for Christmas.. well it still has not arrived! I have called like 3 times cause somedays it says shipped and somedays it doesnt! the whold thing is crazy! no one can answer me what is going on. everytime I call they say they will reissue me a new one. I have a feeling they ran out and are dragging their feet on telling me!

Perhaps it has already shipped and the website just isn't updated? :confused3This happens to me ALL THE TIME with Amazon.com free super saver shipping. The website will say something like "This item will be shipped soon, expect it to arrive Dec 16-20" and I will have it in my hand already.

As far as the order that was cancelled, since this is an extremely busy time of year, maybe they expected to be getting a new shipment of the item, but then found out that it is no longer available?

I think to some extent, when ordering online you have to be a bit flexible and realize that sometimes things happen. Disappointing? Yes. Frustrating? Yes.

It sucks but it happens all the time! Two orders from TRU were cancelled on me. K-mart cancelled and Sears cancelled an order on me! All were a week later and I was sitting here expecting the order. I've yet to be credited for the last two orders. Not sure what's going on w/ retailers these days. Frustrating it is.

I think that often online retailers place things for sale online before they actually receive the product from their vendors. When something breaks down in the supply chain then the end retailer (K-mart, Sears, etc) end up having to cancel orders. Either that or they don't have a way to properly inventory their supply when it comes to online orders.

I also think that Disney websites in general -- both the Disney store and the Disney reservation websites -- are some of the worst websites I have ever dealt with. The sites are often down, experiencing difficulties, or can't find reservations/orders. It just amazes me that a company the size of Disney can't get their online presence to be more reliable and dependable. I know they deal with a lot of business but so do places like Amazon.com and I've never had any of these issues with them.

Disneystore.com has been really frustrating for me the last few months. I ordered a set of Princess and the Frog pajamas that were on clearance with a few other items for DD's birthday in October. I received an email a couple of days later with a UPS tracking number. Two weeks later I still hadn't received my items and the UPS tracking website continued to say the package had not been received by UPS. I finally received an email from the Disneystore.com that said the pajamas were out of stock and that part of my order had been cancelled. The rest of my items were then shipped at that point. Thank goodness I had placed the order early or I wouldn't have had the other items for the birthday party.

For Christmas there were two items that I was looking at ordering for DD on the Disneystore.com: a pair of Tangled pajamas and the Animator's Rapunzel doll. Both items were available before Thanksgiving. I waited until the day after Thanksgiving to place the order. Well, the doll was listed as out if stock, but the pajamas were available. Three days later I checked again. This time the doll was available, but the pajamas were not. I ordered the doll and will get the pajamas elsewhere. Now when I check the pajamas are available. It is odd to me how these items go in and out of stock like that.

I ran into this last year when DD asked for a Rapunzel dress from Santa. I ordered it before Thanksgiving and finally after about 2-3 weeks of asking and calling they finally told me it was on back order and it wouldn't be received until after Christmas.:scared1: I about had a heart attack and I finally found a physical Disney Store that had it and they shipped it to me. NOT fun! I did e-mail guest relations and vented and they sent me a $10 gift card.

I had this happen with an online order from Kohl's. Apparently if it's below a certain weight (or some sort of other guideline) they have it delivered by USPS. So UPS has to deliver it to the post office who then delivers it to you a day or two later. Stupid isn't it? Especially because UPS delivered something to me the very day they were taking my other package to the post office.

Same here. My wife ordered the kids a bunch of PJs on 11/7 because they had some buy one get one half special or something running. She got an email saying that her order never went into the system, but they are full of it because she had to call in to get her Disney Visa discount applied to the ticket. They said they will send her a $20 gc by email for the trouble. I told her to just go buy the kids the PJs, and we'll just eat the difference, but the beauty part is that now they have no stock in the sizes we need. This is the first time I have had trouble with their website order, but I have to admit that it ticks me off. The kids will be bummed because they love the Disney PJ sets, but I'm sure we'll find something just as good if not better.

Hmmm. Speaking of trouble with Disneystore.com. I order several items..... some came in others not...just like the previous posters said...but here is my gripe and/or actual complaint...order several items some items didn't fit so two weeks later went to a actual Disney Store and they wouldn't refund my money "because they didn't carry those items in their stores". So had to get my refund by mailing back in the items in the mail. A HASSEL/MESS for me.
I was not impressed and complained to the website and got a "I am sorry" generic apology. I will not order from their site again because of their return policy.
I just assumed they would have a policy like Target/walmart my bad. They did lose a customer.

Okay, I have to admit I'm curious. You admit you made the mistake of thinking a chain of relatively small specialty stores with an online presence would have the same return policy as the country's two largest big box all-purpose discount stores without checking that policy either online or on the phone... and yet you're no longer shopping there because you made the mistake?

Why? :confused3

I hate, hate, hate this procedure! When something is shipped to me UPS or FedEx I have it in a matter of days from the time I ordered. If something comes USPS it takes at least 2 weeks! Now that UPS and FedEx are trying to help keep the USPS in business, all of my stuff is going through the post office and it is taking forever to get here! Personally, I could care a less if the whole USPS went belly-up! Not for the employees of course, but their service absolutely stinks--and now will be getting worse and costing more!:headache:

I also have to say I've been there done that with Disneystore.com. After two separate incidents of not finding out an item in my order was out of stock until after receiving an incomplete order that I paid in full for, I am so done.
